Hello my friend,  Wanted to wish you a very  Happy Father's Day,  you are a great father and a great son.   I keep thinking about how you've been helping & supporting your dad and not remembering that you are grieving your mom as well.  I'm sorry about that.  I hope you are remembered & appreciated for Father's day!

Hi Keith, it's a very simple surgery, outpatient and I can even drive myself home.  the problem is that the tendon sheath in the wrist and over to the thumb is inflamed.  Based on the ultrasound and the amount of inflammation, they didn't think the cortisone was going to be a long term solution. All they do is numb the area and snip the tendon sheath. That opens it up so that the tendons can move freely.  The pain is because the sheath is so swollen and inflamed that the tendon catches on it.   It's called a DeQuervain's tenosynovitis release- a big name for a simple surgery that will take about 15 minutes to perform.  Then I'll be in a splint for 1-2 weeks and then a brace after the stitches come out.  They can give you IV valium (but then I would have to find someone to drive me ) but I don't think I need it because I am not anxious about it, I'm looking forward to it being fixed- there is a 95% success rate.    July 17 is the day
Hugs & Love!

I hope so too- seeing the Nurse Practitioner at Gastro next Tuesday and going to ask for a Dietician review as well. I've gone back to constipated yet again- it's one extreme or the other. And I hate roller coasters

Good evening my der friend. The nurse came for the last day today. The hole has almost closed and isn't weeping anymore so she's gone to look after people that need her I will miss her popping in. I've been out in the garden most the day weeding. We are over run with bind weed and bd weed this year. It can't be sprayed because it's right in my plants. So we are hand pulling it. If I had to start a new garden it would all be  in built up containers. You don't think of that when you are young. Mine is all our yard so it is a full time job. It sure is beautiful though. We have had garden meets and weddings here. I also won the towns prize for the best garden. The garden club toured through here a few times. I had it opened to the public but the town said I had to have a special liability insurance so I closed it. Well enough lowing my horn. I hope your day went well and you have a great night. Hugs to you and Chandra, xx

If you find a dream within your heart,
Don't ever let it go.
For dreams are tiny seeds,
From which beautiful tomorrows grow ;
So plant your garden well:
And treat with tender care:
You'll soon be able to tell;
how it changed people everywhere.
Be Happy and stay safe Keith. xx

I've known her for years even before her husband died. She was a stubborn lady but a great friend. I chatted with her several times a day. A dog knocked her over and broke her hip and  she went down fast from there. She's with Randy now. She really missed him when he passed away. God rest both their souls.

Diverticulosis is generally treated by diet (when it ends in "itis" it's infected). It's part of the IBS and I have dealt with that for about 2 decades- it's just been a lot worse this past year.
