Hi Viv, glad you got what you needed for the quest. I've done the intermediate one twice & am now just repeating the easy ones. Who knows, I might win one of the nice limited pots. It's a grey wet day here today so we are not doing much. We will watch the Scotland rugby game later. Colin is watching the England-Ireland game but I'm really only interested in the Scotland games. I don't understand it all. I know a try & a conversation but sometimes can't fathom out penalties. Just another 8 days until March. We have a lot of birthdays just now. Niece, daughter, 3 grandchildren & my sister all in the space of 4 weeks ago it's an expensive month. I am going to visit a niece who stays 45 minutes from London in  March. She had booked a spa day for us, plus a day in London with a hop on hop off bus tour, a Thames river tour, Paddington themed afternoon tea and a theatre show - the devil wears Prada - so I'm really looking forward to that. Colin has always refused to go to London. Have you been to Australia to visit your friend? x

MORNING VIV, JUST WANTED TO SAY MY CONDOLENCES TO PETER NICKYS PARTNERS DAD DIED RECENTLY AS WELL THEY WERE IN SPAIN IN THE MOTOR HOME AND HAD TO DASH BACK.
I HOPE YOU ARE OK, I,M STILL FULL OF COLD BUT I THINK I AM SHIFTING A LOT OFF MY LUNGS. I HAVE ONLY JUST REALISED I HAVEN,T HAD MY RESULTS YET SO THEY MUST WANT ME BACK IN. I,VE BEEN TRYING TO CHANGE CARE COMPANIES BUT MY SW DOESN,T SEEM TO THIK IT WILL BE A GOOD IDEA AS I WILL LOSE SOME VERY GOOD CARERS AND SHE IS RIGHT BUT I WANT TO GET AWAY FROM THE OFFICE. I KNOW THEY ALL HAVE TO FOLLOW THE SAME RULES BUT THERE ARE WAYS OF DOING THEM IT WILL GO TO TENDER TO WHOEVER NOT WHO I WANT TO GO TO SO I MIGHT AS WELL STAY WERE I AM FROE NOW.

2. Did you get the jackdaw chick you needed to finish your quest? I'm sitting here at the big window looking onto the river. We incubated & hatched mallard ducklings for several years before releasing them on to the river. Some of them come back to the garden at this time every year & hang around until August when they disappear. They are now having chicks of their own & bring them in to feed. We put a trough with food at the bottom of the garden. The first pair arrived a few days ago & an all black duck I have never seen before has been visiting as well. They are not all together but all 3 are feeding at the trough right now - quite entertaining to watch. I wonder if the black duck has been a pet that someone has released or has maybe escaped. Anyway time to take the dogs out before darkness comes in x
