Hi Trish  When FL made the major changes a few months ago I fell out of love with the game. However, I had made a few good friends so I decided to keep the garden open and the tables with foods so that I could contact friends. For a while I  tried to complete the quest that I was on but I also got bored with that.  Then the profile pictures disappeared early in Novemeber and they haven't sorted it out with Facebook yet. I have enjoyed the pictures that you have posted of your walks. I haven't seen you mentioning Burrs for a while. Doyou still go there?. I'm recovering from an operation on my back earlier this month. Not sure yet whether it has made any improvement. Wishing you a happy and healthy 2022. xx

Hi Trish.  I was out thuis afternoon and it felt more like October than June! Earlier in teh week I went down to Burrs for a  walk. I hadn't been there for a few years  and enjoyed the walk down by the river and then back across the field. I saw that you were down the road from me this morning - at the garden centre. Did you get anything nice? I had a problem with them recently so won't be going back. I'm keeping my garden open but not doing any more than putting food out. I had an appointment with my consultant last week and we have agreed that the best thing now is to go ahead with an operation. It may happen in the next 2 months. Hope you are ok. Take care. xx

Hi. As you may have noticed I have been keeping the garden up to date with the food but not watering at the moment. I now realise how much time  I spent on FL and I'm finding that I don't have spare time at the moment which is surprising considering the restrictions which are still on. The present spell of good weather has helped of course. I have been helping a friend paint some more garden fences and a shed and I've painted my own fence panels after having the yard jet-washed. The petanque group has met each week and also the touch tennis group, although I can't participate in that as my back is troubling me. Next Wednesday I will see the consultant who will have the results of the recent MRI scan to discuss. My son, David, has just come out of hospital today after having an operation on his back so the weakness must run in the family! I will probably go down to see him in a couple of weeks time unless there are restrictions. I think that there will be some easing now that the vaccination has done so well .Although I'm a football fan I might find the next 3 weeks a bit overwhelming! It will be nice to keep up with my FL friends so look forward to your news. Take care. Mike xx
