I am sorry to hear  about your fall Mike, glad nothing  was  broken.
I don't  like the  early dark evenings.  I have been tidying the garden a bit, weeds grow even if other  things don't.  The only  things that  have done well  are the pears, apples  and plums.
My son and daughter in law were  planning to  go to Sardinia  this month as they haven't been  before. They had to  change their  plans as Maris   had  her baby   on 7th September, and  Dillon and Pat needed to be  nearby for her. Baby is  doing really  well, gaining weight, and sleeping 6  hours over night. That is  great  for  3 weeks old. I plan to go  down on 16th Oct  for the weekend. 
I look after  Sarah's  dog   most weekends. It is quite old, and if left too long  has                   " accidents" in the house. As I  am home most of the time, it makes sense  to let it stay, then Sarah  can   enjoy  herself without  worrying. She does appreciate   it.
I have my flu jab booked for the morning. I don't know if they will do the Covid one at the same time.

hello Mike, how lovely to have your daughter  visit. We had a holiday in Port Madoc a few years  ago. We used our rail passes and travelled to a lot of  places in the area.  I had my cousin and her husband stay  lat weekend. They came thursday  from Par, and planned to go to the yorkshire dales, but they had a problem with the car. My garage  checked it over, and said  take the car in Monday, and it was   fixed by  10. It was a sensor   stuck open, one that sprays "AD BLUE"  on the exhaust. IT  was one of the ECO  cars. Anyway  they went  up   to Yorkshire,and were  doing some touring round the  lake district etc. They plan to stay here over night when they  are on their return  journey.
i took  my  car in for a new  tyre yesterday, and also had one of the  wing mirror  glass  replaced. It was on my MOT  a few month ago. My  grand daughter has  2 weeks  till the  baby is  due, and then I will    go to Christchurch   for a quick  stay  to see  baby.  My grandson and his  girl friend  are also having a baby  but not till January. It will be the  1st grand child for her  family, so they are  planning things. They said  dont buy anything  without  consulting as they have their ow

I am sorry your  back isn't too good at the moment. I do hope the injections  work.
Today was  rainy  first thing, then there was a heavy shower for 5  minutes, all cleared up now. We were   due thunder but so glad  it never arrived, not a fan of it.
Re hot weather, I don't cope  with it  so well. I keep covered  up  but still  was covered in  heat  lumps.
My grand daughter  has about 7 weeks till the baby arrives, and my grandson and partner  told me they  are having a  baby in January, so I am knitting again.
I have  had  Sarah's  dog here  for a week as they  went to Gran Canaria. They  get  back on Tuesday   about 4 a m.  The dog isn't any bother apart from  muddy  feet on the carpet , and waking early for breakfast. Today it was 3 a m !  I tried to  doze  after I fed him and let him out, but  I didn't  go off.
The swans and Cygnets  have been at the end of the garden. They have  flattened most of the  reeds and made a big  nest. I had to  put extra  netting across so the dog didn't get to them.

My garden certainly looks better for some rain. I have been filling the water cans from the canal, just  for the   beans and peas. Apart from  a few flowers there isn't a lot in my garden this  year. That must be  the dry weather. 
I have the dog here for the weekend. Sarah took the girls to Manchester last  night  to a concert. Sarah  wandered round the  shops till it was time to  pick them up again, and they got home at 1 this  morning.
My next project is I am going to paint my bedroom. I have the paint, masking tape  etc, and made new curtains . I will make a start after  the dog is back home.

good morning Mike. I am not a fan of Susan  Boyle, but think she is a   good singer. I think  I think it would be   nice for her  to  get married.. I think I only   ticked "like" on the item. It has turned a lot  colder here over the last few days. I did some  weeding yesterday. Funny how they  grow  but the vegetables  don't haha.. I will be having The dog here  later. Sarah and the girls are going on a long walk, I dont know where to.  the dog has been at Damian's for the weekend, so if he drops the dog off here , I have a little job   he  could do.  My son  and  Daughter in law  go to Portugal on Wednesday for a week. Her brother lives there, and he has a  lot of olive  trees. Dillon enjoys  helping him pruning them,. Have a   good week   xx

good night Mike. I had a quiet  Easter. The dog was here friday -monday. I weeded  part of the  back  garden, I put the dog's bed on the  lawn and he slept in the sun while I was pottering. I called to see my brother this morning as he is 84  today, and his wife will be  83 at the weekend. I only stayed a afew minutes as my tummy was playing up. It is ok now thank goodness, but I wasn't sure if it was a bug  or .something I had eaten yesterday.  That is good  your team are doing well. I dont follow  football.    xx
