BEAUTIFUL furbabies!!!
just a quick note to say on Mother's Day 2010, I rescued two, one-day old DUCKLINGS! boy! what an experience & an education! I was sooooooooooo happy they didn't IMPRINT on me! and early each morning once mom helped me put their crate outside, I'd go around my big yard & find worms & roly-poly's & then as if we were playing a game I'd toss them these to see who could catch it first! AH! they were such a delight to me & so thankful I had my mother to help me b/c I had just had knee surgery!
Then mom found a young man at church who built them some bigger DIGS & I had a large pool I used & filled it with water. OH THOSE WERE THE DAZ!
at 10-weeks old I released them on a private duck sanctuary! It was remarkable to see them make friends with the Muscovy Ducks who surrounded them & made them feel safe.
I wrote a story with pix & my young grandsons favorite part was their first swim was in a peanut butter jar lid!!!

it was a great photo - we went to go fetch her yesterday from the kennels, after being away for two days. she was grinning from ear to ear. so happy to see us. She is mommy's girl. I missed her so much. love her to bits.
