Hi Tricia, the car drivers here if over 75 yrs have to resit the driving test, not sure if they have to pay. If licence is clean no increase in insurance . If you have health issues they take your licence , you have to resit the test after the time they set. Here if you drive the scooters on the road yes you do have to have insurance but if you are on mobility allowance the government pay that and the road tax for you. If you ride on the pavement you dont pay anything at all, even if you are not on any benefit for mobility. If thats the case there l would definitely go for an off road scooter with all the benefits a hood provides against the weather. On mine l have full suspension, larger solid tyres , padded seating . This is the best l could afford for my joint comfort and stability. Glad you are happy with the garage door colour and Ladybug has once again settled. If you are more inclined to get a scooter Hun, suitable warm clothing is a must for Winter. Check out on line if you have to have road tax and insurance for the scooter , as in Winter only the roads are cleared there ? Have a good day Hun, Hugs xxx
