Morning splash-- starting the day sunny and 6 but going to the upper teens so we should be fine today Tea attendance will be going down by 1 more as the lady who runs it is moving into a house with he daughter-- every one is tired of the  problems that arise now and mostly with the new imigrants that they put up in some apartments(no one abides by the rules and just do it the way they want.)At least Sandra is interested in the puzzles and doing them will keep the brain sort of active. Going down and getting a load of laundry in as I really need to get some done. I think some of the young and up and coming golfers do the lesser tournaments in hopes of getting points so they can play in the Fedex Cup--when you get the so called big boys they sort of dominate most of the time. Hello Ed, it is a lovely Autumnal day here. I am even sitting outside wearing a T shirt as I write to you. My new glasses have arrived in Rosebud so I have booked an appointment for tomorrow at 11 a.m. I am looking forward to that. A coffee shop friend told me today that he knows other people who have improved long distance sight and it is due to being outdoors more and not in front of a screen as I am now. However I keep looking up at the distance as I sit outside. I love that you quietly position jigsaw tiles nearby for Sandra and not placing them for yourself. In some ways I do that for Mum whilst teaching her how to solve Cryptic puzzles. I often know the answer and just gently drop hints. Mum leaves the Respite hospital in the morning after 4 weeks there. I know that she is nervous, however it has been decided that as her carers and therapy will start when she arrives it will be best. I understand that as if Mum went to the Island she would not get that help. My youngest brother is picking her up and once she is settled he will go and do food shopping for her. It has been decided that Mums dog will stay on the Island until she is ready to look after Bella. Chris and Cathy will take Bella, Mum's dog, for a visit on Saturday. I will visit Sunday!

I think I hit a wrong button as my note disappeared only to find it posted. I hope today goes well and I guess we all have to adapt towhat is going on today--I still can't really get used of apartment living!! Have a good day--Tea for me today so my santity will be restored.

Morning splash-- I had to drag myself out of bed even though I was quite comfy there. but the notice said they would be inspecting something between 8 and 12 so just I drag myself out of the comfy bed just in case they came here early. I am afraid  your journey with Sandra can only  get more frustratingas time goes on . We have seen a few of them around here and it is hard for both sides.Like Dianne said her mom just put the plate full in front of people and that is what you got. I never really gave anybody a lot of choice when I was making meals for every one,with a few exceptions(like not adding mushrooms to the dinner and c
ooking them on the side

Hello Ed, did you end up cooking something else for Sandra? Don't be too hard on yourself. It is difficult being a carer for someone you love. Mum went through that with Dad. I don't think that meals were ever an issue as she didn't give him a choice. Throughout their married life Mum planned the meals and we ate them. Mum is going home to her unit at the Retirement Village on Friday morning. She is somewhat nervous about the nights there alone. However she does have a device to wear that alerts Ambos. My nephew pointed out, "Oh that thing that is hanging inside on your front door." I have spoken to Mum this morning but will give her a call soon before she goes to dinner. Re Evelyn, she may be in Denmark visiting her son? I left a message on her page saying 'Let me know when you are back.'. It was Art Group today however I relly didn't know what I wanted to do. Happily John, an artist gve a demonstration stressing the importance of getting the right tones of colour. Either warm or cold, an referred to a colour wheel that is pinned up on the notice board. I should have taken a photo of it. Oh well next week. I left early as I was not my usual happy, chatty self. Enjoy your day.

splashed-- At the moment all is good here. Sun is shining and we are supposed to start to warm up again but this morning we are starting at 2 . I miss going in our second hand stores but really I don't dare go in as I don't need any more cloth or other stuff(maybe a book or two but there is shelves full of them downstairs) I had not met this girlfriend of Ryley's a few of they have not stayed around because of the weird hours he works when  with the university hockey team, but she seems nice but we shall see as she will be in Ottawa for the summer.
