Hi Kimalisa,  don't push too hard on the volunteer work.  I know what you  mean about getting worn out (and I'm not even working, volunteer or otherwise)  Been really busy getting things done before I leave, and then this week, the city inspector is coming tomorrow because of the new windows I bought and I have to talk to the alarm company AGAIN tomorrow after spending 45 minutes on the phone today.  The sensor for the alarm system is not working on the front door and heaven forbid they send someone out, right? No, it all has to be done virtually.  I am glad you are teaching your friend about birds.   Yesterday I saw one of the wood ducks sitting in one of the trees. I knew that they can and do sit in trees, but have never seen it before, so that was cool-  it's funny to me to think of a duck being able to sit on a tree branch.

a quiet evening splash and wishing you a good night, Kimalisa! glad to hear that Bessie is ok. with all the storms that have been happening in so many different states I did wonder how your weather was. the kitty boys are both out in the living room now and send snuggles to Bessie and you. it's funny that they hide from Ellie, but Dresden always comes out to visit with Cece. maybe because I watched Cece full time for the first 3 years.  anyway we had a lovely afternoon, and then at 4:00 met a Mama and Cece at the local ice cream shoppe. we switched children, and Cece came home with me for a dinner of pizza (no cheese), and jelly toast. then when I took Cece home I met the newest family pet, Beckett, who is an iguana. ha! the kitties have just been taken over by the bedtime zoomies and are leaping about. please give Bessie more ear rubs from me, and a big hug for you. xoxo 🌗🐈🦋🐈
