Good morning Linda. Yes people go way over the top to have ‘a perfect Christmas’ and put themselves under a lot of stress. I admit to doing the same when the kids were young. Cleaning the house from top to bottom…why?
Because my mum did it and most of my friends did the same 😂 So cleaning, shopping, present buying, card sending all took its toll and invariably I would end up after Christmas with a stream cold or one year septic tonsillitis. No more! In fact for the past few years we haven’t had a traditional lunch. I just fill the table with an assortment of dishes, for people to help themselves. It’s fine, there’s no more sleeping the heavy lunch off and it’s there to go back to wherever you want to. It works well for us. Matt real got a bargain with that Turkey. I usually buy a crown and Steve slices it, along with a ham. I really miss my parents at this time of the year. It would have been Dad’s birthday on the 8th and Mum’s and my brothers anniversary on the 11th. I’m waiting for Mark to take me shopping, I prefer going early, Aldi is usually empty. We’ve got a Tesco delivery this afternoon, so I’ve got a busy day! Enjoy the weekend and catch you later xx

yeah its a bit calmer and the sun is coming up to a clear sky ,,oh the difference in the wether since we came here is unreal , came in 1982 , summer started in March ,shorts on ,then all the way through to oct , now its so unpredictable from one day to the next ,,have a cosy weekend hun , hope its ok there , and ty for the FWM , xxxxx
