Good evening my friend, I've only just sat down after dinner and already I can feel my eyelids dropping! I really must make a concerted effort to get to bed - not even early, just at a decent hour! Do you have a large family Carmen? Mine is but we don't speak! There have been a few falling outs over the years but, the final straw, was when my dad's brother and sister didn't let him know that my nan, his mum, had passed away until after the funeral. And the only reason they called then was because he needed to sign some paperwork!! He never got anything bequeathed to him (that we know of anyway) and was given no mementos. Sad really. I'm so sorry Julian will miss your Christmas Eve tradition, there is a little while to go yet, is there anyway he can earn himself back into everyone's good graces and come?

May I ask what your tradition is? I've done a bit more wrapping but spent a fair bit of the afternoon helping Luke with his finances. We've moved some money around and that should cover his bills for December and January and I managed to persuade him to cancel a few frivolous Direct Debits that he can do without until he finds a new job (not been a sniff of one). I ordered a few more bits for my nieces and nephews Christmas Eve boxes and need to send that out as soon as it arrives to make sure it gets there - our postal service is getting worse!! I'm off to do some knitting in the hopes that it will keep me awake. How goes the hair?? Enjoy your afternoon and we'll chat again later xx
