Good afternoon Carmen, oh no! I have done that a few times and it's so frustrating! The last time I messed up an appointment was at a couple of weeks ago. I was reading and my phone started to ring, it was the receptionist at the dentist. She said they'd been expecting me at 10.30am and could she remind me that missed appointments are usually charged for. I got quite cross and explained that my appointment was for 3.20pm and I had the confirmation slip. It turned out she was perfectly correct! My appointment at 3.20pm was with the dental hygienist, another month away. Luckily she found it funny and I didn't have to pay any fees but it's so easily done. How are you other than annoyed at having had a wasted trip yesterday? Is it far? I had a really terrible night, I was up and down to the bathroom, trying to pee.

I was supposed to go and collect my new glasses later but I have to put it off. I've been drinking water all morning hoping to flush my kidneys but if I miss the warning signs of a uti, it's not going to help and I'll have to argue with my doctor to get antibiotics. Fingers and toes crossed!! Sarnie is a slang word for sandwich, it's just a  kind of shortened version I guess. I was genuinely surprised you didn't know so I Googled it and apparently it's only a British thing, most typically used in the South (where I'm from). I had no idea! Yes, I did end my evening knitting, thank you. I finished off a pair of baby booties in pale green and started on the beanie hat. The hats are my least favourite thing to make so I tend to get those and the booties out of the way first.

I should have these sets all finished by now and be onto the others I want to make for another local charity but, frustratingly enough, both the last two I have knitted have come up a size too big! Mum's more than happy as she's snaffled them for her charity so they'll still benefit a good cause but it means I'm running behind. Off for another glass of water *sigh* Enjoy your day! xx
