morning Dianne, I've been following the talks in Washington re Ukraine. Whatever the outcome we can't trust Putin. I've had a few calls about Mr Stamp. I've been telling the story about when we were playing in a ping tournament in Slough, West London. It was before either of us drove so it was trains for us. I travel from North London & he from East London. Anyway when he was supposed to play & hadn't arrived. The officials gave him time to arrive & in the end he was scratched from the event. Two & a half hours later he walked in the door not @ all happy. It appears that he was on the wrong train & went non stop to Portsmouth. About eighty miles from Slough. We of course thought it was funny but he certainly didn't. I said to him many years later after he became famous & wrote books about his life. Terry you forgot to mention your trip to Portsmouth. May not sound funny but you had to be there. lol.. Seen so many lovely tributes to him today. He really was a nice guy in spite of his fame. I'm on the ramble again, sorry. Have a lovely Tuesday...
