Hi Dianne
The roads are being dug up by Thames Water. They pleaded poverty and said they could both fix their infrastructure. However, they were giving shareholders massive dividends and the bosses massive bonuses. The government got involved and made them get the money back. Now, they are fixing the pipes that keep bursting.
I am currently reading It's always the husband. It's by C L Taylor. Only just started it, but its good. Your books sound fun. Not in my library sadly.

splashed--summer field mouse  and ruby seed ty

Morning splash-- We are coolish at 17 but the sun is shining and the temperatures are to go to the mid.20;s ,so allis good. Still trying to do a mini fall clean a little early as there seems to be a lot of clutter around but think I got in a bad havit of not actually putting things away(eg. the cat carrier is still sitting out "just in case") Still fighting with these glasses but each day seems to be a little better.
