Hi Diane...we just had rain and it definitely cooled things down a little bit.  But the heat is set to return this afternoon.  So you can't win.  I see your rain didn't help much either.  Personally I wouldn't worry to much about getting your jobs done.  I find working in this heat very uncomfortable so I try to do stuff first thing and then leave it till the night time or next day.  It's hard going.  But then I keep forgetting you have air con so maybe it's not so bad for you if its cool enough.   It's nice you have been chatting to your daughter especially as she wont be so free when the kids are back in school.  Well I hope you have a nice day...stay cool and ty for the Lion  xxx

Morning Diane, I did as much as I could reach hedge & tree re modelling. Was quite happy with the result even though I would like to have gone further into my neighbours garden, Cooled down quite a bit yesterday with a few spots of rain. Like you we are desperate for rain. We have a hose pipe ban here in the south east. Although some of my neighbours think that's only for the poor peeps...Did you find anyone to chat with yesterday? Few more weeks & your be back to your usual gathering. I need to find something to amuse me today. I thought the tree work would take two days but need to chat with my immediate neighbour only he has grape vines hanging over my side & I don't want to mess with them. They don't cause us any problem... Hope you have a good day & enjoy the golf...

Morning Diane hope you slept well was a very hot night here & i did struggle to sleep so tired this morning again! we should cool off for weekend hope so had enough of it now!
glad you got the laundry done thats another job off the list and if its hot today am sure them jobs will wait for you!
