So many things happening in the news these days, maybe it will be nice to get away for part of the day.  Wondered if Hawaii would still be on the map after the HUGE earthquake off the coast of Russia yesterday.  Just waves reached the California coast...as if there was a storm going on.  Whew!

I think Don knows that I'm not crazy about going in to Vegas (Henderson) today.  We have to go to the doctor on the 5th of August...so I'm not exactly thrilled to go in again...without a spare tire today.  Oh, well, I'll make it worth my while.  I could use new pajamas and etc.  LOL  At least we don't have an early appt. for the Jeep (12:30 p.m.).  He will drop me off at the Galleria Mall. 

Don found out a lot of information from Bob.  He let us know that John and Lori were on an Alaskan cruise and John suffered a heart attack.  He was in the hospital in Alaska for a week.  We wondered why we hadn't seen them out and about recently, but then again, they are pretty private people.  They are from Ohio, also.  He used to work over at the Rec Center here then developed a heart condition.  We used to see Lori walking around the neighborhood quite a lot but not recently.  Then found out they're building a lot of homes on that corner that they've been tossing dirt around and making a mess.  Maybe it needed to be tamped down a lot.  The dirt is called "poof" dirt out here.
