I used to have a kilt when I was a pre-teen I think. They were all the rage here & I don't think I even realized where they were from until I was older. People don't remember how info trickled to us in the "old days" since everything is at their fingertips now :P I did look up Tartan knitting patterns. Appears the only way to do it combines knitting & what I would consider weaving. Not sure I'll ever tackle it but I saved the page just in case :)
