Yesterdays again in case you missed it.

I threw a baseball as hard as I could, and it came right back to me, but no one or nothing touched it. How did it happen?

Todays is:-

I am quite small in size and yet can cover the Earth,
I go mainly unnoticed yet I still have much worth.
No matter how hard you search you'll never see all of me,
I have a nearby cousin but he's much more lazy.
There is a way to see me, it's like closing a door,
but when you see me, it's all me, and you'll see nothing more.
I share a trait with a Baseball but only the one,
I can also contain the force of a gun.
