Daryn was home and tidying his garden and we had a chat. Apparently he's on holiday for the week and will be going up to London in a couple of days, I suspect there must be a football match he wants to see. He was telling me that he'd been laying flooring in his kitchen and had hurt his back. I wanted to say that's what happens when you get older nothing works properly and he's only 59/60. I was kind and said nothing lol

Have you managed to get the ring back and is it fixed? I do hope so and I bet the other people will be glad to get theirs back too.

I've been watching the Bake Off and one contestant 'cooked' something that collapsed in front of the judges, guess who was sent home. I do admire people who put themselves up for these programs I wouldn't have the nerve.

Hi Janet, it's been very windy and 53f so I changed the bed and got three loads of laundry washed and line dry, not that it all came off my bed! I'd been saving towels and things until it stopped raining.

I've not been out other than the garden for a bit more weeding. I spoke with Sheila this afternoon and Anna and the twins were there. She said Anna had been over to see her dad and they had decided not to operate to pin his leg until tomorrow. I also spoke with Anna and I said that I didn't think Sheila would be able to care for Guy if they sent him home too soon. Anna said that she'd decided to have a word with the social workers at the hospital as like me she doesn't think Sheila will cope, after all she is 86 and her memory is not what it was. I'm pleased she's going to do that as it will take the pressure off Sheila. The hospital could send him to a convalescent home for a couple of weeks like they did my uncle Ivan.
