I've spent all afternoon and evening with Caz. It was lovely to see her and her daughter Lilia who's 15. Her son is 18 and stayed home and her husband had gone home early for work. Lilia had a friend staying so Caz and I could sit and chat without any interruption! She cooked dinner and insisted I stayed so I didn't get home until gone 10.

That was a nice present to get, Sandy is a generous lady. I have a cheap smart watch and all I ever do is use it for step counting and telling the time I don't use it for answering the phone and all the other stuff it does. By the time I've sorted out how that works the person would have rung off. lol .

I've not touched the puzzle today but should have time tomorrow. I've another book to take back to the library and I'll stop off on the way home to get the local paper but other than that and some laundry and cleaning I don't have much planned.

Hi Janet, I'm glad Don's tyre was covered by the warranty and I can understand your worry about travelling without a spare. Most new cars here don't have spare tyres anymore you get a can of spray 'stuff' which you are supposed to spray in to the valve on the tyre and it will seal the hole. It's the biggest load of rubbish. My aunt had a flat when her tyre split, Maggie hit a kerb and she knocked the tyre off the rim and I got a tyre which was completely flat and it wouldn't work on any of them. I've now asked Andrew at the garage if he can get me a spare wheel. He's reluctant to let me buy a new one as he reckons he can get a cheap one from a car scrap dealer. I've been waiting months and would rather pay the full price but he won't hear of it. MEN! Fortunately I do have a car rescue service so if the worst happens they will come out and 'save' me.
