I'm meeting Dawn for breakfast tomorrow so I'm off to bed in a short while, I'll need to be up by 7 which is almost like the middle of the night. lol We'll have lots to talk about and when I leave her I'll probably take a book back to the library and wander round the charity shop! 

I've done some of the puzzle and should finish it tomorrow afternoon. I still need to speak to the lady at the double glazing place about the lock. I forgot about it until nearly half past 4 this afternoon and no one answered their phone, so she must have finished for the day, I'll try again tomorrow.

That's a enormous amount to send the parcel back, I'm sure an animal sanctuary would be thrilled to have the stuff.

Hi Janet, it's been about 70 and windy. I was out early and back before Alan arrived. He did most of the jobs on the list but he has some weird idea of how to make the water container work, I'm wondering about phoning the conservatory roof guys who did the pipework to see if they'll put it right. I have a feeling Alan's idea may work but will be a bodge. I don't know if you have that expression it means mending it badly.

I asked him about making a new cover for my central heating pipes, because the leak made the wood swell and now it's lumpy, he just says give it another coating of emulsion and it'll be fine. No it won't, it will be lumpy.  I said about the shed roof and now he wants to paint some 'stuff' to seal it. I've said yes but really don't think it will work well or last  and this time next year we'll be having another conversation about a new roof. He's a nice guy and at least he turns up now and again but everyone I speak to says they can't get people to do small jobs. Never mind I'll let him carry on and maybe find someone else.
