Before I messed up the laptop this morning I found an update for my sat nav. I spent ages updating it and now I worry when I go to see Maggie that it might not work. I think I'll give it a try around town when I visit my friend Sheila tomorrow. Glad I don't have to drive to Vegas, I'd hate it, it's why when I visit Maggie I go across country. The roads may be narrow and winding but by not going on the main road I don't have to contend with 2/3 lanes and roundabouts with people cutting in front of me, especially when I'm not sure which lane I should be in. I'm getting to be too old to be stressed like that.

After I'd done a little bit of shopping I came home and finished the Venice puzzle. I was contemplating starting another when my aunt arrived. She'd been for a walk and came back past mine so she would get a cup of tea.

She told me she'd had a lovely time in Norwich at the theatre and her son and daughter in law had taken her to the Assembly House for lunch, it's a beautiful Georgian building in the centre of Norwich and close to the theatre where they saw Fiddler on the Roof. She said that she'd spent time in Marks and Spencer and her daughter in law had encouraged her to spend some money, in other words she bought clothes. I'm glad she enjoyed herself as I was a bit worried she would be a bit 'down' now the weddings are over and she didn't have anything much to look forward to. I'll visit her next week and see if she'd like to go out for lunch one day.

Hi Janet, it's not been so hot today just over 70 but the humidity is 87%. I did go out this morning and stopped at Mark's as I'd managed to do 'something' to the laptop that made my picture small and when I tried to enlarge it, no way. So off I went with a packet of biscuits and Mark spent all of 10 seconds and fixed it. I still don't know what I did, never mind it's OK now. I stopped at the charity shop with a handbag I'd never used. I think I bought it at another charity shop but I decided if I hadn't used it in 3/4 years I wasn't likely to use it now! They were really pleased but I'm not so sure about the raffle tickets I bought from them and won a couple of candles and some soap and hand cream, maybe they weren't so pleased after all! I'll keep the soap and h/cream but take the candles to the library for their Christmas raffle.
