I saw Kath this evening going in their front door as I got out of the car which is good as she'll take care of him. On my way out this morning he was on his way to the rubbish bins and said last night had been much better than the previous one so maybe the antibiotics are beginning to work.

Tonight I had Sue, the nun, on the phone to see if I'll go over to the convent Thursday week and bring her over to Lowestoft so she can spend the day with me then see her brother who'll take her home. 

I'd best get myself early to bed if I'm to be out at half past 8 which should give me time to get to the opticians and find a parking space.

We had a lovely lunch and when I took Hilda home she insisted on giving me a box of chocolates for all I do in running her about, which I thought was really sweet of her. I don't mind and she always gives me a cup of tea when we get to hers!

Tomorrow I have an appointment at the opticians at 9 o'clock. I had a message from them to say would I be there 10 minutes before my appointment time and bring a list of all the drugs I take. I understand they might like to know what medication I'm on as they might affect my eyes but why do I need to be there early why not just give me an appointment at 10 to nine, I find it very odd.

Hi Janet, I do hope Sandy's OK and this time they keep her up to date with what's wrong and what can be done. As for Daryn he told me he'd had it before so maybe it's something that once there's a weakness it can easily return. I do know he's worked really hard in his back garden, very physical work and let's face it he's a bus driver so not used to all that exercise. He did say that the whole 'renovation' of the garden had turned out to be much harder than he'd anticipated. I suggested he might find a young lad who could help for a lower wage and do much of the carrying. He has a couple of tons of soil he needs moved and I'm sure there must be someone aged about 14-15 who would like to earn a bit. We'll see as he won't be doing anything for a bit.
