I spent a little time in Venice but was not in the mood for puzzling, it's just too hot.

Tomorrow I'm seeing my cousin Hilda, we're going out for lunch. Judith should have come too but has just gone down with tonsillitis so Ill pick up Hilda and after lunch I need to visit my other cousin Christine as I have a mobility walking frame for her hubby, I was given it when I had my hip done but never used it and don't think I'll want it any time soon so they can have it.

Don't over do the treadmill, take care   xxx

Hi Janet, it didn't get quite as hot as the forecast we were lucky and had a slight breeze which kept it down to 76 but the humidity was over 80%. I did go out for a short time but not before I'd made a few phone calls. First to the gas board who once again sent me an invoice for just over $80. I've already explained I'm not paying for them to return and get my brand new gas boiler sorted and set up correctly. The man I spoke to was very, very apologetic and said he was in the invoice department and would write and confirm it's been cancelled this time. I then phone the double glazing and got a very pleasant lady. I explained that a man had been to look at the doors and had promised they would be in touch. She too apologized and said she'd call back as soon as she'd got it sorted. She was as good as her word and phoned this afternoon to ask if it was Ok if they didn't come until the 28th. I was more than happy as I don't think we'll be getting too much rain in the near future.
