I spent some time on the new 'Rescue' puzzle and I think I may get it done before Friday. I'll still have to find time to sort another one out to take with me.

I stayed home and spent a couple of hours in the garden. I dug up a bucket full of weeds and found 2 small oak trees had taken root. I managed to dig one up but Alan will have to remove the second I'm just not strong enough. I then cut the grass, trimmed the edges and brushed all the debris in to a heap and disposed of it and the weeds. I've decided to give Alan a ring after the Easter weekend and hopefully he'll come maybe next week.

D has disappeared again and the fence hasn't been touched. He's usually gone for the week so I'm not expecting anything to happen now until next weekend.

Tomorrow I'm thinking I could go out to get some milk and I'm sure there will be more things by then which I can't think of now!

Hi Janet, I'd not thought of trying the Donut diet but it certainly sounds interesting, I'm sure Don could have bought just a couple or even 6 but it's nice to know even men get carried away when there's a Friday special.

I didn't find any puzzles at the hall although there must be at least 30 on the table for sale, next week I'm going to count them.

I've just been reading the local paper, the latest news is that a man was murdered in the local park about half a mile down the road where I have breakfast with my step sister. They've arrested a woman but have not yet said how he was killed. Then tonight on the TV Anglia News they said a woman was raped about a mile away, it sounded very odd apparently she got in a taxi and he just got in it with her and when she got out he dragged her down an alley. I keep wondering why she didn't say something to the taxi driver when he got in the car, very strange.
