My leg is much better, the infection has receded but I'm left with a dark mark where it was. I've just taken the last antibiotic for which I'm so pleased. They gave me dreadful indigestion and I wasn't allowed to take anything for it.

Tessa sent a message yesterday to say Joshua, her eldest, passed the exams he needed to get in to the college he wanted. He's been head hunted as a rugby player and the coach is based at Loughborough college so that's where he's off to. I'm pleased for him and just hope he continues to do well. I can't believe the little boy he once was is now over 6 feet tall!!

I met a new neighbour yesterday, he lives a few doors down on the other side of the road and has been coming across with his sack barrow to take away the broken concrete that Daryn has on his drive. I was putting something in my car and there he was on Daryn's parking space removing the broken bits. I just said hello and he launched in to the explanation that he was building a dry stone wall in his back garden. I told him there was a lot more in D's back garden that he's not brought through yet. Unfortunately D wont be moving them any time soon as he's fitting a kitchen this coming week for his friend/lady friend. The last time he had a holiday he decorated her new house and this week he's been dog sitting for her. He insists they're just friends, I wish I had a friend like that to do all my jobs. LOLOL

Hi Janet, I hope Sandy does take herself to the ER, it is the thing that worries me the most about living alone, not being able to do things. I hope it's not broken as it could take so long for her to recover, if ever.

Maggie stayed later today and we did about three quarters of the wasjig. We had fish and chips for lunch and I'd made some cheese straws  which we nibbled on during the afternoon. She brought some fresh cream cakes but we never got around to eating them. I'm pleased to say she took them home for her husband. I've agreed to go to hers in about a month. Needless to say not much else has happened around here.
