I tried to get someone to do the seals on my double glazing door but all I could get was an answer machine, so maybe someone will call me back tomorrow.

I also had another chat with the girl from the council, I phoned them about a month ago because the lid on my rubbish bin is hanging by one hinge not 2. They broke it 4 weeks ago when they were emptying it. She was appalled and said it should have been done in a week. She phoned back later to confirm they should be out this week. We'll see.

Needless to say I'm getting all my phone calls out of the way but I still have a list of things to do when I get the car back. It seems every time I get through one list there's another waiting in the wings. I'm still wondering when Alan will get round to doing my leaky shed roof. I think he forgets things he's not keen to do. I'll have another go at him next Monday.

Hi Janet, it's been a bit cooler, about 69 but the humidity is still 84%. We had rain this morning and it's looking like it could be much the same tomorrow.

I changed the bed and got all the laundry dry but just used the drier rather than hang it out.  I spent over half an hour trying to get my gas problems sorted. She put me on hold for about 20 minutes just kept coming back every so often to apologize for keeping me waiting. She finally admitted she was having problems with her computer while getting the page to make me an appointment.  I wanted to say couldn't she have asked someone else to take over then realized she was probably working from home. Since covid it's become normal for so many people to work from home. Anyway someone should be here Monday afternoon.
