Like you I'm aiming for an early night. I'm seeing Ness at the hall tomorrow and need to be up earlier than normal, I usually hit the world at 8 in the morning and rarely go to bed before midnight. I'm in Don's camp I sleep very badly and still suffer from hot flushes. Apparently it's something to do with me taking thyroxin, as I had an op on my thyroid many years ago and it doesn't work so I have no choice and as far as I know nothing can be done.

I spoke with Sheila earlier and she tells me the little ones will be visiting tomorrow so I'm taking the weird pink rabbit with me, I hope it doesn't frighten them.

Hi Janet, it's been much better a comfortable 70. I went out early to get the local paper and did some shopping. I tried the charity shop and found nothing! I did get some bird food I didn't want my pigeon friend going hungry and the ungrateful bird ate his fill and took off with all his pigeon friends, he didn't even wave goodbye. LOLOL

I'm sure Paul won't have any problem emptying out some of the water, they have a little tap low down on the side to allow filling a watering can. I did say to him I'd let him know if it happens again, I really don't want a river off his property in to mine.

Other than vacuuming through I've not done a lot else except finish the puzzle. lol

I loved the little duck and really like the idea of putting one on someone else's jeep that you like, is he going to live on the dashboard, Randy will be jealous. lol

The weather's not been so good today [mid 60's]  we've had some sun but also some torrential rain. I went to the library between the showers to return a book and found water flooded across the road in a couple of places. Tomorrow should be dry and back to 70, much nicer.   

I've been working on the puzzle and may finish it tomorrow. I also need to speak to the double glazing lady about the new lock for the back door, she said it should be in by then.  Apparently it's a bit unusual and they had to make it a special order and she should know something by then.

Hi Janet, I've been next door to have a word with Paul. There is a gutter that runs along the side of his house very near my fence, it's the same one the pigeon has been roosting on. Every time it rains really hard the water runs off his roof into the gutter then over the edge like a waterfall in to my garden. I was reluctant to say anything but realized the bricks below the gutter were getting very wet and I imagine the dampness will eventually go through to the inside of his bungalow. Anyway I explained that I'd had Alan check the gutter as he could reach it from my garden and I was concerned his down pipe might be blocked. It turned out he'd put a water butt under the downpipe but it had no overflow so once it was full all the excess water off the roof had nowhere to go except over the edges of the gutter. He tells me he'll empty some out of the butt which should cure the problem. I hope so as I don't really want gallons of water running down his walls in to my garden.
