I've not seen Daryn today, he must be resting at Kath's. I have a parcel for him which Amazon delivered this afternoon. I was in the middle of trying out the spot cleaner on my carpet, the delivery driver said whatever you're using smells really nice. It might smell nice but it was hard work and will need doing again.

I'm seeing Sue, the nun, tomorrow and will take her to see her friend who lives opposite Sheila, we'll have a cuppa and a catch up. I've told her I'll take her to visit Guy and if she can get a lift to the hospital tomorrow when I drop Sue at her brother's in the early evening I can then collect her from the hospital. She didn't think she'd be going tomorrow but I've impressed upon her if I'm not doing anything I'll take her. She keeps saying, I don't want to be a nuisance and I tell her not to be so silly I'm happy to help.

Guy had his op this morning and Anna went over to see him this afternoon. Apparently they did it with an epidural injection and he didn't enjoy that. I told Sheila that's how they did my hip and he wouldn't have been in any pain and they would have sedated him if he'd wanted it. Anna spoke to him about coming home and he thinks he'll be home in a couple of days. She also spoke with someone at the hospital and they didn't think so. She said no way would her grandma cope if Guy was unable to take care of himself. I mentioned to Sheila he's going to need some 'aids', like a raised toilet seat and a high stool to perch on while he washes, so no way will they send him home without those being in place and I'm sure there's other things I've not thought of.

Hi Janet our clocks went back last weekend and I hate it, I don't like that it's sunset at half past 4, dark by 5 and it always takes me about a month for my body clock to adjust.

Reading about one of your neighbours dying remined me I had a message from Gale's daughter. Gale worked with me and retired at the same time, I'd see her at the car boot. Her daughter sent a message to say she'd passed that day. She was 3 months younger than me. OMG it brings it home just how old I am. Unfortunately Maggie will be here when it's her funeral. I wouldn't call us great friends just friendly acquaintances but it's very sad.
