I sorted a large box of books to take to the nuns on Sunday. There's a street sale in Bungay so they invited me to lunch with them. I'll drive over there, park at the convent house, have a look around the sale and then join them when they come out of church. It should work well, I'll see if I can find something at the sale they'll like. Last time I took a large jar of honey. I'm hoping that their figs should be ready for eating. They have a huge fig tree next to the house, it was put there by the previous owners who also planted a grape vine. They do get grapes but since they don't thin them out the birds get to feast on them as they're too small to eat.

I'm trying for an earlier night but I have a feeling trying is all it will be. lolol

Hi Janet, it's definitely been a cooler day, it started out raining then turned cloudy with temps of 71 with about 70% humidity, much more comfortable. I've done as much as I can in the conservatory and what's left the roofing guys will have to deal with.

I managed to speak with Sam's husband, Jordan, he's usually so quiet that I was surprised when I phoned that he answered it. When they remove the triple plastic roof panels he wants them to make Sam a large cold frame for her plants. He had no idea that they were coming so soon so I told him I'd get them to put the panels on my parking space then he could collect them whenever he wanted. It turns out that he's coming this way on Friday as Austin is playing cricket about 5/6 minutes from where I live, so he'll come and pick them up then.
