JUST BACK FROM AN EARLY MORNING DRIVE TO ALDEBY, SAW LOTS OF PHEASANTS, KITES, A SQUIRREL AND ONE DEER IN THE FIELD. HUBBY TREATED ME TO AN EGG AND CHEESE MCMUFFIN AS IT'S MY BIRTHDAY :)  GOING OUT LATER TO HAVE AN INDIAN MEAL X X SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE AN EXCITING DAY AHEAD X I'M SEEING MY ELDEST GIRL AT 1.00, HAD A VERY BAD NIGHT, AWAKE THROUGHOUT WITH AWFUL CRAMPS LASTING FOR HOURS, STILL FEELING ROUGH, AT LEAST THE WEATHER IS BRIGHTER TODAY X

Hello Mary,
sounds like you have quite the busy Saturday ahead of you. but it sounds like fun with family so i am sure it will be great.
the storm lasted 3 days, then it took them another day and 1/2 to restore electricity because can you believe that they went out and stole cables straight after the storm whilst the electricity was down. that is South Africa for you.  Our home is fully walled with electric fence right around. i have an alarm system and cameras and as you know my furry security team that keep me safe. our gate does have an override switch but due to the high crime the gate motor is locked away in a box. I couldn't find where my husband had put the key for the box and of course with no internet or cellphone service i couldn't even contact him to ask. we are expecting another storm to come in on Monday. I do hope it won't be as bad as this last one.... i don't know if i could go through that again.  It has been one hell of a year already. 1st the wild fires and now this storm. plus both my sisters getting cancer.... i am ready for this year to be over an we not even half way through yet. stress overload.
