My hunt for Cupid Mice took me about 10 minutes before I found 2. I see that you have a Valentine's Rose now so I guess you can possibly find in my garden in a day or use the wildlife guide to replace a grown 1 for a new 1
Hope your hunt for waxwing & bee-eater are making progress. I messed up the timing for my endangered critter so now have to wait until the plants are ready for harvest to try again

Rylee has again taught me a new trick. I introduced him to his Kong with peanut butter in it a few weeks ago. I started to putting it into the freezer so it would last longer. Once I did it in the morning and gave it to him after supper in the evening. So now he stands holding it the morning - dropping it and barks at me - then picks it up again. Realizing what he wanted I took it from him put two treats into it and then peanut butter - I put it into the freezer. satisfied he resumed other activities. Later after supper he reminded me that it was time. He stood in front of the freezer barked a single bark. I got it out for him, he took it, settled in the front hall and enjoyed. I can be taught. Happy Wednesday.

Happy Wednesday Mary. I am so happy I have running water again. What a relief. I didn't have to call a plumber. The heater in the basement worked its magic overnight. Or God answered my prayers. I'm just warming up the bathroom now so I can finally get a shower. I had actually gone out and gotten a pot full of snow and of course when it melted turned out to be a cup of hot water. That would take forever to get a big stew pot full. I have enough bringing in wood and doing the shovelling and the other chores that go with life. At least now I have my conveniences back. So I can manage better now. I laughed first thing I did was wash my hands. I hope your day started off well. It was so cold this morning. I was freezing. I discovered my kitchen heater was off. That was a shock. Now I have a blazing fire and I'm going out this afternoon to get water. Drinking water that is and a few things. Maybe a trip to the dump. Got lots of empty jugs and bottles to recycle. If I have the stamina. I'm so worn out. This cold is making me crazy (short trip) Hope all is well in your neck of the woods and that the temps are starting to get better. I'm with you about spring. Just a month away ish.
