We are starting to get ready for winter. Furniture put away, pool closed, trailer in storage and soon the gazebo will be wrapped with tarps again. So it's also time to remind Rylee how to shut the door. This is such a handy thing to teach him. This way we can leave the gazebo door open a touch so Jojo and he can explore the yard we sit in the gazebo in the evening. When they come into the gazebo I ask Rylee to "shut the door" once they come in. I have often thought it would be interesting for him to learn "open the door." I say "almost" because there are times we wouldn't want him to open doors - like the treat cupboard.  Happy Thursday.

Jojo has such devotion to the people that love her. I watch as our DIL comes in the front door, Jojo greets her with joy and flops over on her back so she can give her tummy rubs. Jojo will ignore hubby everytime in favour of her. It makes me smile as hubby is the biggest pushover for loving Jojo. He will wiggle his fingers in the air and say, "Jojo - scratchies" She will race to him - but not when our DIL is around. To be fair she has the nicest laugh, nice long nails and Jojo adores her. Hubby does his best but I think Jojo is a dog that loves women. Happy Wednesday.

I finally found a chew that Rylee doesn't devour in 5 minutes. It's from Bully Bunches and they are "Yak Chews." Rylee had never had the medium chew before so I got several as the price was good. He has had the first chew since last week and he still loves it when I put it down for him. I was shocked when he walked away from it the first day after chewing it for about 30 minutes. I always pick up what he has been offered when I leave the room so he can have it later. Each time I offer it he will take it and lay down happily to chew it. Highly recommend these chew for your aggressive chewer. Happy Tuesday.

Rylee does a great deal of "helpful" things. I have taught him to pick up his things. In the morning after his Bully treat he wants "more" so I give him a choice. I have four options of previously enjoyed chewies. Three pieces of Bull tail and a Yuk chew. I toss them to the floor and tell him to pick one as he's not going to get anything new. He selects one and we continue in companionable silence. When I finish and it time to go downstairs I ask him to pick up his things so we can go down. He picks them up one at a time and hands them to me - I put them up until the next time. He so helpful! Happy Monday.
