Rylee is always with me when I'm in my office. He will lay at me feet or under my carpet. Yes I said under it. It's an area rug and he will lay at the edge of it and his feet will end up under it. He will do the same thing in the family room to the carpet in front of my chair. Makes me wonder why do I buy beds or crate pads for him to lay on as it appears he prefers the floor. Jojo has a bed and a pad in the family room. She will lay on it but chews the crate pad - or she will suck on it. I look over and she will be intently chewing it - she sees me looking at her and she will stop and pretend she wasn't doing anything - "just licking it mom!" Gotta love them! Happy Friday.

Should you ever want to really entertain yourself - and your pet - get them a "Wicked Ball." It is an interactive, rechargeable ball that yes I bought for Rylee, but would work for a cat. It bounces, rolls, stops and starts on it's own. I watched Rylee with his and it is hilarious. He grabbed it and then it vibrated in his mouth. I wish I'd had a camera to snap the expression on his face when it did. It then rolled away from him, he went after it and grabbed it again. I do supervise him with it as I don't want him to chew it up. I put it back in the box to keep it safe , it started to bounce again and Rylee grabbed the box. So the toy is a winner. Happy Thursday.

Jojo is patient, Rylee not so much. Jojo will spot something in the yard and will crouch and start doing stealthy steps toward her prey. She doesn't get it because - Rylee isn't stealthy. He charges toward whatever it is Jojo is stalking like a bull in a china shop and away goes the prey. Jojo gives Rylee this disgusted look and returns to hubby for treats. He a sure thing! I have been watching Rylee and Jojo in our yard. They have a distinct way that they "patrol" the yard. With a bark they tear across the yard to the far corner and then begin their patrol. Jojo - her nose to the ground patrols the perimeter - Rylee - his eyes are on the sky! He's watching birds fly overhead - I'm not sure why as they won't land while we are out there. Jojo is in the garden checking along the fence - Rylee is on the pool deck running beside her watching for an overhead marauder. They both come back to hubby and I and let us know it's all clear - we are safe once more! Happy Tuesday.

Although Rylee and Jojo are both ACD they are as different as chalk and cheese. Jojo is always the first to send up the alarm - barking and racing to the front door - usually over the sound my cell phone has just made - announcing a new email for me. Rylee wants to chase after her but he sits and waits to see
if I get up to see "what's what."  If I am still sitting Jojo comes back looking sheepish (she should look cowish - she a Cattle Dog) anyway - things settle down until the next time. More tomorrow - Happy Monday.
