Jojo is a drama queen. She had a difficult time before she came to us so a certain level of drama is acceptable. She has this high pitched shriek that she makes when she thinks she is in danger. When we first got her and heard this sound we thought that she had been seriously injured. Rylee growled at her this morning and she jumped back shrieking. She's not hurt - he didn't touch her - she just reacted to the threat. The problem is that the sound often instigates a reaction from Rylee that's not good. I often see that the shriek is followed by limping - on her part. As I said such a drama queen! Happy Friday.

The training session didn't happen yesterday. The trainers daughter had heat stroke so he stayed home to tend her. Rylee and Jojo were just as happy to stay inside in the AC. Jojo seems to be okay with the heat - she was born and raised in Texas so that makes sense. Rylee    born in Ontario seems to prefer staying inside on the AC register. I think that he doesn't remember that it's hot and humid - then he goes out and remembers. He stands in the shade panting - after just one fetch. We go back onside and minutes later he's wanting to go back out. Soon the Rylee the humidity will pass. Happy Thursday.

Today is another lesson for Rylee and Jojo (and hubby) with Matthew. I am really happy with Rylee's progress and his attempt at manners. I say attempt as he does great until Jojo starts to bark and then he's off. I notice that while we are upstairs in my office - Jojo will bark at something and then Rylee comes to me for his "I didn't bark" treat. I'm thinking that Rylee was so great at his last show I may not have Matthew back for a while. Hopefully it won't be to humid today for the outdoor class. Wish us luck - Happy Wednesday.

Well it's pool season again and I have put Rylee and Jojo's wading pool out and filled it with water. They do love the water - as proven by the way they bark at me while I am trying to clean off the pool deck. The try biting at the water to the point that I'm concerned that they will fall into the pool. I don't have time for this guys - but they don't care. It's water and it's fun - get it! So Both Rylee and Jojo were now wet and I am still trying to get the bird poo off of the deck. I love pool season! Happy Tuesday.

It has been two years since Jojo came into our lives. She is the first dog that we have not raised from a baby so it have been different. I notice hubby is still having issues with her training as he seems to expect her to understand the same commands that Grady did. Never the less she is improving and seems happy for the most part. She has realized that while hubby has a nice lap to lay in it is much nicer to snuggle up again mom and her pillows. Rylee is not that pleased with her doing this and he will jump up to claim my lap. Good thing I have plenty to go around. Happy Monday.
