Rylee talks to me. Yes I know that sounds strange - but he does. I hear words when he barks at me - the ones I hear the most are - "I don't want to!", "No" or "Play Outside." Yes I realize that most people hear - Bark, bark,  bark. I prefer to think that he's trying to communicate with us. I just wish he wouldn't do it so loudly!  He especially seems to like "I don't want to." I should drag out the talking buttons again to clarify what he's saying. I know you think I'm crazy - maybe, but it makes life interesting. Happy Friday.

I have noticed that Rylee seems to copy things that Jojo is doing. First she's a licker she licks hands, faces, arms - Rylee has started to lick me too. Jojo also has a "poor me" pose. She lifts her left paw while sitting in front of hubby and gazing up at him with her liquid brown eyes - pleading for a treat as she's "starving." The other day there sat Rylee beside her with the same pose. Gazing up at hubby his left paw lifted up pleading for a treat. Hubby's so easy he gave them both treats claiming he's taught Rylee a new trick. I thought "huh" looks like he's taught you one! Happy Thursday.

While playing outside Rylee will return the toy again and again so I can throw it for him - until he won't give it back. Then I sit in the holding one end of a slobbery toy with him tugging at it. I tell him if he's done we can go in. Ha makes this "urgh" sound and tugs harder. I get up and head to the door to go inside. He's flapping the thing around spewing slobber everywhere. Once at the door Rylee flatly refuses to come inside. I command, I plead, I bribe but no he won't come inside. I shut the door and walk away. He drops the toy and barks frantically. I return to the door and try again - he picks up the toy - now he wants to play more but I'm done. "Get in here" I command - he laughs at me. It's a standoff. Finally I tell him I'm going back upstairs - "are you coming?" I promise him we will go out again. He comes in. Who's the boss? Happy Wednesday.   

Playing in the cold with Rylee and Jojo offer unusual challenges. Jojo and her feet and Drool! Rylee races after the toy I throw - he returns with it happily. Tossing it in his mouth he chomps on it - chomp, chomp and then strings of drool appear - freezing into slobbery icicles hanging from his mouth. Rylee is oblivious to this and happily brings me the toy.  I grab it and throw it again - it lands in the snow and he pushes it along under the snow then returns to me with his snowy face and strings of drool - lovely! I laugh throw it again and so on. It gets so slobbery that I can't grab hold of it and then he starts to shake it in his mouth - drool flying everywhere. I just love winter - not! Happy Tuesday.

Happy New Year all - Rylee and Jojo had a great Christmas. We have snow and more snow so Rylee is happy happy. Jojo not so much she seems to suffer with the snow clumping in between her pads. I thought I would get her boots - but she hates letting anyone handle her feet so I'm stumped. She does love to eat snow!  Rylee loves to plow through the snow with his nose so he tosses whatever we are playing with in the air and then searches in the snow for it once it's landed. He has discovered that the lid on the pool has nice deep snow so he plows through it in search of he toy. It's going to be a long winter. Happy Monday!
