The frog thing is very confusing

You are correct. 5th land frog will lay spawn on the empty table, then you have to go UW for the tadpoles to hatch from the spawn.

Good idea to try to get more FT seeds. Don't forget albinos/melanistics drop them too. There were some FT gardens a few days ago, people have them in their quest lists. The gnome table is a great assest to have, though the Hat is better because you can change it high/low. But Alice takes a lot of hunting and resources!

So, if we look at your stats again

Tadpoles 11
Froglets 12
Frogs (UW) 6

it's *mainly* frogs that you need to spot at the moment. If you can bring your frogs spotted up to 11 (by spotting another 5), then you will immediately have 11 land frogs due. I hope that's clear, tell me if not.

Forgot to say, you are right again (you see, you do know a lot about the frogs really). To earn the land frogs, you have to spot tadpoles, froglets and frogs in other gardens.

1 tad, 1 froglet, 1 frog spotted = 1 land frog earned for your garden.

The empty table can be high or low for the spawn, the tadpoles will still come. I would advise you to build up a good tadpole count before you start the bottom dwellers because they take lots of spawn. Another thing you can do is grow a red coral. You don't have to get it coloured in, just grow it and harvest it. I hope you have some grey rocks saved?

When you're ready to attract the land frogs, it's best if you're not attracting anything else that eats berries. Put out some berries on a high table, and an empty plate. Whatever food you use, that's the kind of spawn you will get when the 5th frog comes, so regular will give regular spawn, organic gives organic spawn, superfood gives super spawn. Unless you're using super, then it's best to use triple.

The frogs are complicated, and you're not thick, the process is confusing. A lot of people don't understand at first. You 'earn' land frogs by spotting tadpoles, froglets and frogs (including ghost frogs) in *other gardens*. That's why I asked you to tell me how many you had spotted. Okay so far?

You can always ignore land frogs spotted, they don't affect anything. So these are the numbers that matter:

Tadpoles 11
Froglets 12
Frogs (UW) 6

To see how many land frogs you can attract, look at your totals and see which is the lowest - that's how many land frogs you can attract. So, at the moment, you have 'earned' a total of 6 land frogs. Okay so far?

Every 5th frog attracted drops spawn, So once you have your red coral planted, don't dust it, go on land, put out a high plate of SF berries and a low plate which is empty. SF is best for the bottom dwellers. Once the 5th frog appears on land , it will drop spawn on the empty plate. Then attract a mermaid, go back under and dust coral to fg and you will attract lobsters, You won't be able to start the octopus level until you have harvested a red coral. However I discovered  uncoloured red coral can be grown and harvested on land before you begin. So once you have attracted and spotted all the lobsters you can set up for the octopus.
