The sun is shining at the moment.. Woot
I have been outside trying to push the tops of the banks of snow back a bit as its way to high to even add more if we get another storm. They say snow tonight but only 5 cm.. so that is hardly anything to even worry about.
I have an area I will try to widen out after my coffee. The wind stopped blowing so that is a huge bonus..
The roads look decent so hopefully Stephen's drive will be decent too.
I am loving that it is getting light earlier and staying light longer.. such a small thing can go so far to make a positive difference just to your mood .. LOL

How did the installation go with your new sauna ? Is it in the house or outside ? I am glad you got it, its good to be able to enjoy some things when you can for sure.

Ooh.. sauna is nice. and yes I have heard good things about red light therepy.
The plant is shut down..
My brother is stuck in Jamaica.. Flights cancelled.
The whole province has been hit hard.
We are done for now.. there is enough room to get the truck out tomorrow.. and I can work on trying to widen it out more over the next few days.

Well the news is Stephen came in and he said we have 2 feet of snow down and the wind is blowing it right back in. So I guess we will have to wait that out some.
Truth be told I am exhausted and have not even done one shovel full. That is the mind playing up LOL

The good news is.. we still have our power. Yay.. and it finally stopped snowing. But the wind is going to stay blowing so that is the bad news. Stephen was out for a while to shovel and I will go myself for a turn soon. I slept in. I am not looking forward to it and I am not sure how much won't blow back. Humm.. LOL

They up graded the storm. Its going to be even worse and start earlier I guess. So it says 9 am now. And yes, Stephen will stay home. Maria is getting hit by this system also so yeah it seems like a big storm and far reaching . Lots of them this year it seems.
I am glad you got a good sleep, you had the energy to put things right again. Its odd how people tend to mess other peoples areas up isn't it , and good for you for fitting the gym in also. Yay

..╝╚..Good Afternoon. We have had a busy and productive morning. We worked 3 hrs. Just having a break now and going back in a half hour or so to try to do a bit more before that stupid storm comes. I have not said anything to Stephen but I hope he stays home. They say it starts at 11 and that usually makes him want to go but it will be a nightmare getting back home. Heavy snowfall and white outs.. even talking about turning to rain later on and that will cause ice .. and I won't make the decision for him but it sure is horrid when he is out in that and so far away.
Anyway... what will be will be.

     ♥ Good Afternoon. Well almost evening. Its one minute to 5. LOL
Its been an odd day. The girls wanted to spend the day with their dad.. but they are not early people so we had time to do 2 hrs of work before leaving here to go get them. The day is cold and windy. The driveway drifted in and we only got up half way. Had to walk the grocerys up the rest of the way, put some stuff in the fridge and dig the driveway out to get the car in. Man.. I have a few minutes before making supper. I have a coffee on the go. I did not even realize it was going to be a windy day really... I was looking at Monday/Tuesday Nor'easter and did not look at Saturday ... lol
I agree.. I am so disappointed in him. Stephen said Greskys wife ( who is american, that is why he lives there I guess ) is big into gambling. But I do believe they made him stop with the gambling ads.. And yeah, young people look up to him. Or they did anyway.
I am so sorry you did not rest well, I sure understand that though. Its something on the mind and in the end you may as well get up and not just lay there awake and worrying.
I am glad you had a good time and that he wants to come back again to visit .

Well supper is easy, grilled cheese and salad. Katie needs the special bread but that is ok. I always have a bit of it in the freezer. Makes it easier to plan simple, I know they get sick of Nacho's sometimes. But its hard to know how to feed someone who can't eat Gluten and meat both.  Poor thing.

 

I hope Charlie likes his new hair-do.  And I am glad you are getting to meet and spend time with Chris.
Karl is so lucky to have had a father who went to bat for him and found him some type of schooling that worked for him.  I kind of thought maybe he was a bit of a challenge. Some children are. But the pot would not make that better at all. I worked with people and often wondered how they had nothing saved ( not that I had a lot ) but they just could not seem to have enough even for gas money and my sister in law said.. well you know they use those gambling machines. It kind of floored me. I never thought much for or against gambling. Its just not a thing in my life. So I forget about it mostly. Just another way to part a person who does not have enough with even more of their income.  Sad really. It used to drive me nuts to see that Wayne Gresky in the gambling ads. Him doing that .. so many people used to look up to him. But well, he fell out of favour here in Canada anyway when he stood next to Trump. There was a large outcry to strip him of his citizenship. It never happened but not a lot of Canadians look up to him now. He is pretty washed up here now and its good he stays in the US.. LOL
Anyway. We did get another hour or so in and it is gratifying to see the wood being transformed from log form to split pieces . I know that sounds crazy but it is. Some things we do we can't see the result of our hard work right off but with wood you can.. it has its own sort of satisfaction to it.
