Ok. News update

We are going to build 3 medium sized planters. About 6-8 feet long and 4 feet wide. We will use those to grow our potatoes in. Mind you its way less then we grow, Maybe about 25 % but we believe this will be enough. We are only 2 people and can easily lower the number of days we eat potatoes. We both are excited about this idea and will work on it this weekend. We have the wood here in the barns and we will use the soil from the garden. I may add peat to it to make it looser though. 
And that way we can enjoy the growing season without being crippled up.

So I worked today for 2 hours doing some garden stuff. Its so hard on my knee now being in that position for so long.
Stephen asked me if I wanted to give it up. Mostly I grow potatoes and you know, potatoes are not all the expensive. With the cost of the fertilizer now I am really leaning towards not putting it in this year. I imagine we could buy all the potatoes we need to eat for less then 100.00
I know we eat more then that now but that is because I don't want to waste them. I even had to give up having salad this week because I need to get those potatoes ate. LOL

It would save a ton of work, I still have my berry garden so I will still have some garden and I do all the mowing here mostly. Plus help with it at the Mother in laws plus the wood. I do get lots of outside time still.

Anyway.. I am leaning towards that. I wanted to give it up a couple of years ago but Stephen  did not seem to be fancy to that but now he is leaning towards it too. The whole tilling part is very hard on him too. 
Well we will have to play it by ear I guess. See how it shakes out.

I hope Jeff feels more like himself when he gets up. Its not fun feeling poorly. I am glad its not covid though. Never hurts to find out.

Its wonderful you are getting to be at the beach to volunteer at this time. They are lucky to have you.

I was busy doing some extra laundry. It was such a nice day I wanted to get the bedding done. I also made some banana nut cookies and a batch of raspberry jelly.
Stephen tilled the garden up for the first pass. Its a mess, so many big weeds and all. I worked out in it for an hour today but the black flies was out also. I hope to get out for an hour after supper and I will work out there tomorrow some. It will take some serious effort to get it back in shape for planting.

Good Morning, as I sit here with my coffee I realize I have a very full day of things to do. And it will take a while to get through these things today. But I also remember that I have read in one of my many little books of good advice that its when we are so busy we think we have no time to share the good words of the father that is when we need to do it the most. For in his love of helping us he is the perfect one to grace us with the peace in knowing we do not need to feel rushed or anxious to get through our day, especially when that day is a busy one. The lord gives us so many gifts but sometimes we fail to recognize the important ones. Peace- Love- and even something as simple as having a small prayer book to help us sometimes focus our words but in the event that we just can't get our thoughts and words in order we can always just sit quietly..open our heart and our mind and ask God to just see into us and he will know what we need at that moment. Its just up to us to ask.
I see so much of you in these little prayers I read. You love for helping others is a shining example of how Christ wants people to live. Even small acts of kindness to our brothers and sisters is a act of kindness towards our lord and saviour.

Yes, it was a warm day. And tomorrow is going to be plus 19 they say. That is such a lovely thing , lol 
I have a bit of heat on now as it will only be plus 5 over night but you know, that is warm considering how cold winter can be.

Growing up there was not a lot of ticks around that I remember but these last 15-20 years they are very plentiful. And yes, threat of lyme disease is something to be mindful of.

Dear Lord,

I believe one of the reasons there is so much hate/anger and fear in the world is because its easy. Being a forgiving person takes a great inner strength. Its really not of our nature and we all need to work on it daily. So many people just take the easy way out and refuse to forgive people. After a while that anger and hate feeds on itself causing an inferno in their souls. Once that is burning and raging its quite difficult for someone like you or me to put out and most of the time the rage consumes them. In the end it would have been so much easier to just not let the hurt or anger get a hold of us. I know constantly I have to ask God to help me be gentle and not be over come. Its a real struggle.

Today I am working on mowing the lawn. I had a bit of trouble getting it started as its the first time this year. I think I did not prime it enough at first. I am always thinking I may flood it.  But eventually it started and I am enjoying some outside time. The temps are cool right now and there is a very light breeze. So far I have not been bothered by black flies. I did spray my shoes though as the ticks here are very very bad this year. I have had only one so far but Stephen has had over a dozen this last week. Even the news says Lunenburg County has an up swing in them and to take care. I really do not like ticks. They latch on and take big chunks of flesh out of me when I try to remove them. We do have a gadget called a tick nipper. We got it for the kitty as he seemed to have them a lot. We did a lot of tick checks on that little fellow.

Well I hope you have a nice day sweetie. I am going to get back to mowing. I don't know if I can finish what I want done today before it get to hot. I hope so but I think there are a couple of areas that could wait anyway.  We will see.

Wow.. Jeff made breakfast. That is wonderful. Mother's Day Breakfast is good.

I know you don't like unicorns. I am not a big fan either..  LOL So its nice you are almost done with that one.

Thanks for the hug. Yes its Mother's day here also. We sent a card off to Rosemary a bit earlier in the week.
That pastry sounds good. Yum.  We don't eat much red meat either. Mostly hamburger I use to make spaghetti sauce and I can get at least 2 meals out of it.
Stephen did have a nice day out. And I have started the 4th book in the series now. Not far into it but started anyway.
We went out after lunch to get gas and visited a few little libraries. I really love that so many little communities have now got on board with them. We left quite a few books in the one in Caladonia. But we found 5 there too. So its a win-win.

Good Morning, the sun is shining here today. The trees are beginning to go in leaf and believe it or not the grass will need to be mowed in a day or two. When things start changing the change comes fast. I love all the different shades of green. We live in such a beautiful world and I constantly have to remind myself to not forget to see it.  I hope you get to see some wonderful things today to remind you of how much you are loved by not just me but by many and most important by Jesus himself 🤍

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your son. His love is boundless, infinite and eternal. Today, let me pause and reflect upon Christ's love for me, and let me share that love with all that cross my path.
