Hi Anita,  was out fishing all day. Turning the pots into vases is a pain , I had to go thru every color of the plant and of course was the last color that worked, is very costly. I really have not done many ,many ,this is my 4th one doing now, they to hard.Mouse and duck are easy, I did those

I am sorry the vases aren't cooperating. I know lots of folks who haven't been able to get one started. 

Have you done birthday critters? They are low stress mostly and fun.  You have to hunt some to fill your plates with cake, but otherwise they are pretty low stress.

Ok  i do this plan t the plant needed then try every dust one at a time  . Use the wand try 1 at a time  until i get 2 gold then i know im on  right track .  I change the flower colour then try all dust and wa ds again hope this helps xx

You have to make the vase first (which takes some trial and error), but once you have it made, yes, just try to attract critters.  You have to get the "first" critter first (for example, if you start with a duck vase you need to attract and spot a duck first to get it started).

It takes a lot of patience, but it isn't as hard as it used to be.  It is the reward for completing Bottom Dwellers which are fussy and use a lot of "resources," but Mike changed the game to make it easier to get underwater seeds and increased the number of feeds on SF since he originally introduced Bottom Dwelllers, so it's more manageable.

It is also one you can do a little bit at a time and give yourself breaks in between when you get frustrated. 

I love the birdbath (and it's nice because both the garden "owner" and the spotter gets the gold from the chicks, so it ends up paying for itself eventually.
