I am home. Decided to pick up a hamburger at Wendy's to bring home to eat.
I can't share any picture of the painting...because it is a gift. And wow...she had all her paintings set up for people to peruse and potentially buy. She normally donates to charities and nursing homes...but someone suggested that she try to sell and so she was. She asked me to look over her other pieces but I just couldn't...although glanced. There were a couple of fairies on toadstools. And there was one with the northern lights that I rather liked too.

I did find two ghostlie ducks but need more for legs.
I am off out the door in a few...going to pick up a painting that a woman was selling. She does paint parties and used to have a store front and now just does them at particular businesses. Her classes are expensive and when she offered up her paintings for sale...I figured that I would jump at the chance. Twenty-five dollars works. I love poppies and she did one of poppies. I was going to get it for Kevin and then give him a military medal to go alongside. I am investigating buying one from a company in Canada.They are to be for display only...illegal to wear unless you were awarded them. Have not heard back from the company...but there is a mail strike going on here anyway so nothing will get mailed out. They probably are on reduced work hours because of it. Nothing can go out unless you want it couriered and I don't want to pay the extra.
Off to get my shoes on...and will smell you when I get back. Have to drive to Southampton which is about ten minutes away...in the dark...and rain. Oh joy.

I don't mind walking Fang in the rain...if it is a warm day and definitely not when it is pouring. On a cold day like today it just makes me feel colder. Fang is pretty good...she will wipe her feet if asked...and as soon as we get in the house I toss a towel on her and she stands there waiting to be rubbed down. Probably likes the massage.

Must be hard to know what size of cake to bake...and how many cake pops or cupcakes when you don't know exactly how many will be there.

I did the walk...thankfully not pouring at the moment. Large puddles to avoid. We are supposed to get rain for a couple days...tomorrow and Thursday. Better than snow.

Five more hours and my last pumpkin will be ready for harvest...seems to be taking forever.

I know why they ask you for the cakes...because they are just so darn good. You are a perfectionist so you don't see what they see...something grand.
Cakes are pretty expensive here too...our daughter was going to buy herself a cake for her birthday next month and she figured seventy dollars for whatever it was that she wanted. But she was unsure because the girl who bakes them used to be part of a cafe doing all their baking...and the cafe shut down so she is winging it on her own. I can't imagine asking for a cake and cake pops...I would be inclined to just say one or the other....as that doubles the workload for you. I would choose the cake.
I harvested my piscis...and figure that I won't need again. I hope. Hahaha
I am procrastinating going on a walk with Fang...it is pouring rain. I don't want to go. I have to go out at five as meeting a person then...and then will get in my jammies that will be it for the night. Will spend my freebie sprinkles after that.

No sure what to do...so started another easy quest. Made a scarecrow the other day. Probably will try to add parts tonight to another. One last pumpkin...and two gemmy plants to give me gold. And if a bird nests...will be ready for December.
