yes, you are correct you should be on diamonds until you have 10 each of Dodo, Lory and The mouse.  Then you move up to clubs and mad hatter etc.  You have a hearts which won't attract  anything except cgs so get rid of it or wait until it's ready for harvest.  Maybe the garden that had comfits had another plate with different food?   STay away from gardens with different foods only comfits  or maybe you miscounted.?

You'll be fine Margo! I learnt as I went along too. I don't have a greenhouse, which really would have helped, but it took me 7 months - I wasn't in a rush. It always pays to jumble the cards you have around even if they've attracted one of the key characters in another position, try them in the other two positions before you ditch or change it as sometimes you attract another important character too! Good luck xxx
