I would stick to tropical as you will get MK after the veg, Janet the deterrent was to stop geckos .x

See now I had forgotten Geckos  will feed on anything ,if you want to keep catcus plant before you start Tort, put in a Stella vellaflora that will stop geckos

You will be ok hopefully with Tort as there’s normally plenty about,  always worth checking your gardens requirements  for next critter before doing anything, xx

A couple of points worth remembering
The plant is not ready for 13 hrs, it would have been better to have left the bush, and not DD on as that’s 13 hrs lost now. Always worth making notes Janet ? Time is critical as you found out last plate…..
You will probably end up dumping cactus  unless you are putting out Tropical fruits for Tort as they both will feed of veg. MK will win we don’t want them yet, I know in your excitement you want to complet the plate ….. 😊 x
