Hi Barbara, I've never heard of the other 2 games either, Bocce and Sandbags, sounds like fun for you all. I thought Petanque sounded a bit like Bowls that some people play here but on grass. I'm meeting a friend shortly so I may get a bit wet walking to the bus stop, looks like the rain is in for the day, still we'll be in the shops and a cafe for lunch so plenty of time for me to dry out, lol. Can't believe we'll be into Autumn tomorrow, there I was thinking we may have an "Indian Summer" in September but they said on a weather forecast that we wouldn't be getting one, so guess summer is really over. Hi Barbara! The kids go back to school here on 4th September but they usually have one or two "inset days" whatever that is so it will probably be the 6th. Mosquitoes are nasty things, my daughter had 3 bites on her hand and it all swelled up. Our weather is still so changeable, they keep promising us sunny days then it doesn't happen then they forecast rain, really difficult to make any kind of arrangement beforehand. It's been cloudy the last couple of days and one morning it was really humid as well, it's cloudy and windy today with a peek of sun once in a while, still much better then the terrible wildfires in Canada they keep showing us on the television. Hope you are nowhere near them. x

Thank you Barbara. She is doing much better, out of the ICU and into rehab for the next 2 weeks. Hopefully, she can come back here and recuperate some more. Two steps forward, one step back but at least we're seeing some progress!

Good Morning Barbara, thank you for your messages and well wishes! My sister is finally out of the ICU after some 2.5 weeks. It was touch and go there for a bit. I was in shock to see her in that state when I flew to NYC. While I was there, my dad also went to the hospital. My brothers and sister really pulled together. We have 3 situations going on now, but I think it'll be ok. Long road to back to normal but made our family stronger.

Hi Barbara, thank you for your kind notes throughout this ordeal. I'm flying to NY Thurs to be with her for a few days. She's still in the ICU and has some complications but we're hoping she gets out in another week. Im freezing the garden as I cannot tend to it .. hopefully, soon! Chin up!

Thank you Barbara for your notes of encouragement. I will be gone this weekend so if Im not around, that means I had no access to my FL garden, lol. I will be with my mom while my dad flies out to NY but should be back on Monday. Have a great weekend!

Thank you Barbara, things are day to day but she's made very good progress. She woke up and her memory is getting up to speed. It'll be a long process. It's a rollercoaster and my family is trying to arrange schedules so we could be with her. Thanks again.

Good Morningi Barbara, hasnt been a good past few days. My sister in NY is in critical condition at the hospital. She suffered a brain aneurysm on Thurs night. Some siblings flew out there Fri morning so just getting reports via text on her condition. She is still unconscious but is responding to treatment. I will be at my parents for the next few days. I will try to get on FL there - I can't access FL on my phone for some reason lol.
