that's why I say always start the hive with the next colour as you have 4 chances after for another one or two. Only have one empty hive at a time out. It shouldn't attract red bees as you have a hive with a seed in it  but maybe it will as there are mostly reds

Easier to do bees now when plenty hives around. Otherwise you need to store loads . Billy goats are not as hard as they used to be. Best to plant two buttercups and two grass at a time and don't deter until you have 5 small goats on both buttercups, same for medium

Three violet bees gives a seed whereas you need 10 red bees so a good time of year spotting violets especially as ones are making up hives for the brown bears

Yay well done. I just got my Tesco delivery but was trying to watch it. Fill up hive and even if the rest are reds it will be a better chance of getting orange if you use it. Fingers crossed for another 2 or 3 orange lol Have you got a few seeds? Keep trying to build up so you can change asap.
