I was wondering how March Break went. I am imagine that a recovery period is needed after the camps. It really is a great thing for kids to do.
And EIGHT! Wow! What does a kid at eight want these days...
Yes...am back...but limited. Am just building nests at the moment. People always seem to want birds.
Had my final checkup on Monday in London...and boy that city has changed so much. I had a couple tests done and released from the surgeons care as eyes were healing nicely. I have one more week of the prescribed drops...and then all those are done. I have dry eyes so have been continuing with my normal drops and they will continue as per usual. Everything is so much brighter. I am not wearing glasses now but I do need them...and have an appointment next week with my optometrist and hopefully can get fitted for some. Then my vision will be as good as it gets.
I planted for the pottery lottery...just the zodiac...so I will be ready.

It just started to snow here...but we did get a fair bit the other day...which I was not impressed about.

It is weird not wearing glasses...first thing that I put on the mornings and last thing off at night. Eyes are healing nicely I think...but I will still need corrective lenses so I do not see anything well. But I know that I can see better because I could see nothing on the eye chart out of my left eye...and now I can. Remarkable.
So March Break has started...are there camps for kids at work...and what is keeping Paislee busy...hoping that she is well too. And of course you and your husband.
Skimbi is a smart little guy...he has learned to use the dog door into the garage...we made it fully operational and it only took a couple times of showing him how to use it for him to catch on. Now he just races through it on his exercise circuit. He also likes sleeping in the garage...he pulled an old dog bed of Fangs down...a rectangular piece of foam with a washable cover that I had kept as figured Kevin could use as a pad to use as a kneeling pad or to lay on when doing floor things in the garage. It was resting against the one wall...and he pulled it down onto a covered pail of sand and he sleeps there occasionally. It is in the dark corner so you cannot see him. He is using the

Skimbi is in love with Kevin...he jumps on his back and hugs him. Head butts galore...
He head butts me too and is constantly purring. Still a few things scare him...he will startle with a strange noise...or today when Kevin was cleaning out his kitty litter he went and hid. He is still fascinated by the squirrels outside the windows...just wait until the birds start hopping around...and the chippies too. That is why Misty spent much of her day in the sunroom...we were too boring and she did not want to miss the action outside her window.
Skimbi is calm tonight...just chilling on a chair and then when he had enough attention he went to his bed and lay down. Did not even try to run into the house when we opened the screen to the house...although he has come in a few times today to look around...and was happy to find that he had a cat cave in the house as well...he hopped in and out. He did some dusting under the furniture. Hahaha.
Enjoy the nice weather...it is apparently going to head to lower temps again.

hoping you all are doing fine...winter is behind us now...and I am looking forward to the snow finally disappearing. The mounds still are huge...but they are melting. Maybe I will be able to see the neighbours house across the street before long...hahahaha.
Skimby is a hoot...such a wild one...but he comes to his name...and meows at us. He actually sat in my lap for more than a nano second yesterday...and then squeezed in beside me in the chair that I was sitting in. Did not stay long...but it is a start.
Almost March Break...hope that you have some time off to enjoy with Paislee.

All went well...but looking at a computer screen is drying to the eyes and mine were that to begin with...so not going to push it.
Skimbi was happy to see us...and ran to greet us at the sunroom door...and meowed to boot. He is still a speed demon and we love it...

Skimpy is a speed demon...he runs like the wind. So happy to be free. You would think that he was doing agility as he races through his tunnel and then around and back through. He has figured out his scratching posts...uses his kitty litter...and will now eat and drink in front of us...he had been just doing this at night. He purrs and loves to be brushed. Never settles for long...and he is off again looking for squirrels out the window...or jumping off the furniture. I cannot imagine what he must be thinking when he formerly could not race about...and could see only those who went by his cage. He will now sleep in a cat bed during the day if he so desires...he was avoiding them. He has two. He likes the smaller one. Eats well.
I will not be around after Tuesday...as this will be my trip to London for cataract surgery.

I popped in to say that we have a furry critter in our house...and it is not a chippie or squirrel. Both of which have come in at one time or another.
His name is Skimbleshanks...a black cat about six months old. His middle name should be Scaredycat because he is so scared of everything. But he was a stray and been at the shelter in a cage by himself for three months...no one wants a black cat. I think that they bring luck.
We brought him home on Monday afternoon...I managed to pet him a few times but he generally hid behind the cat tree and freaked if you moved towards him. Kevin never even touched him. But it was love at first sight for him. He spent much of the first day with us in his cat carrier and did not want to come out when we were there...but he came out at night to eat and use the kitty litter. Yesterday I took away his crutch and he moved himself to a cat cave that we had bought...so we can pet him easier and reach in and get him out. He finally played with a toy with me late yesterday...and we heard him running around last evening in the sunroom. His toys were scattered. He seems to like to sleep on one of the chairs at night...so that is where we have found
