Surgery isn't until Tuesday...so a bit of a breather. I fear having to shove more meds down her throat...and I think that the antibiotics that she was on contributed to the pancreatitis. I must remember to tell them that she has a fear of crates. Never thought to cut the cone down...we gave it away. You know...in the old days we never used cones...and things went okay.

Today apparently is Fang's birthday...it is an unbirthday really as she was found as a stray so they made a date up for her using her teeth as a guideline to potential age. She is twelve and has lived with us for eleven years.
She is going for surgery on Tuesday...initially was just sedation for Xray of her teeth to see if there are issues and potential tooth or teeth extraction. The one vet thinks that her molar is cracked. But then, she developed a lump on her hind leg...which has grown...they aspirated on Wednesday but the results were inconclusive so we don't know if cancer...and they want to remove that before it gets much bigger. Fang does not do well with sedation...so am kind of worried about all this. And...she is just recovering from pancreatitis...and her blood values are still higher than they should be. Vet was actually surprised that she is willing to eat and go for walks.
I know that she won't wear a cone...so trying to figure out what to do post-op so that she doesn't lick the surgical wound...she is like a cat and washes herself so she will fixate on that spot I am sure. A bandage won't work as it is too high on her thigh...wouldn't be able to wrap it.

It continued to be windy last night. We had our first trick or treaters at ten to four! Most were out early...and we had at least double our usual amount of visitors. Just two witches left...these were crafted from Bristol board and their legs were rockets...and with witch boots on the ends. I wrote on them...trick or treat...smell my feet. I never counted how many I did. I should have. But I had nine left from morning exercise class...where I gave everyone one....and I added to the pile of at least twenty. Two left for Kevin.
The rain started probably quarter to seven...but it didn't slow the kids down much.

Really windy here. I went out with a sweater on over my tee and a bit chilly. I wanted to get the last two deck chairs away in the shed. Don't think that I will be needing them.

I just read that some parts of the province are to get snow today...we are not part of that...so hoping that is correct.

It is just grey here...probably cold. Rain has been predicted but we were lucky yesterday and we only got sprinkles for a bit last evening. Day was lovely.

I meant to post a message to you here yesterday...but thought...oh you are busy with Paislee back at school and after school activities...and work. And I didn't want to sound pushy asking about Brett. But oh my gosh...your Mom. Yes, indeed....if your Dad has to stay away for a few days...what a delight it would be to have her with you.
This has been one stressful season.
And BRRR....minus two degress C on our themometer. I refuse to put the deck furniture away...as I am hoping that we have another warm spell and can sit on the deck.

I guess with kid being up...time for me to roll too. Hahaha. Just been sitting on my butt writing messages to friends. One lives in Calgary and we have been friends since childhood days...there was a stretch where we lost contact...after she had moved...but we are back in touch daily.

No kidding. YAY Jays!
And how about this weather...rain predicted for almost every day. Yay?
