For birthday cakes, you need an empty tray out. Then look for animals in the wildlife guide under B'day. You need to spot a certain number of a given animal and have the empty tray to receive the cake.  Note: birthday mice, mermaids, and wrc can bring either 10th or 15th cake depending on the type of cake eaten when you spot the animal.  The birthday badger, unicorn, kinkajou, orangutan, raccoon, and dodo bring only 10th cake when you spot the correct number. They also only eat 10th cake.  The animals like the baby unicorn, froog, elephant, toad, and I don't remember the rest bring (and eat) 15th cake. Hope that helps.

Item Dropped (Every 5th you spot in other Gardens)
A Talking Tiger-Lily Seed, which fruits into a Playing Card. The suit of the card is determined by which food the Card Gardener ate, the number of the card is random.
If he ate Comfits, drops a Diamonds playing card
If he ate Afternoon Tea, drops a Clubs playing card
If he ate Tarts, drops a Hearts playing card
If he ate Eat Me Cake, drops a Spades playing card

Note: you must have an empty Teaset item - Teacup, Milk Jug, Sugar Bowl or Teapot - available in your Garden to receive the seed, or it will not be dropped.

You have to spot 5 card gardeners for each pot
