It’s all about protected growing now. Indoors, you can start greens, herbs, onions, and even hardy annual flowers like snapdragons, calendula, and larkspur. Still have unfrozen soil? You might squeeze in one last chance for garlic!

🔥 Let’s make it
1️⃣ Bring steaks to room temp
Take your steaks out of the fridge 30 to 60 minutes before cooking. Unwrap them and place them on a plate.
2️⃣ Preheat oven and pan
Heat your oven to 300°F.
Place a cast iron skillet on the stove over high heat. Let it get really hot, then add your oil.
3️⃣ Season the steak
Pour Montreal steak seasoning onto a plate.
Press all sides of your steak into the seasoning so it is fully coated.
4️⃣ Sear the steak
Place steak in the hot cast iron. Do not touch it for 2 minutes.
Flip and do not touch it for another 2 minutes.
5️⃣ Bake
Move steaks to a foil lined baking sheet.
Bake at 300°F for 10 minutes.
6️⃣ Sweet broil
Pull the steak out and cover the top with brown sugar.
Turn your oven to broil and broil for about 4 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let the steak rest for 5 to 6 minutes.

_ 2 cups rolled oats
_ 1 teaspoon cinnamon
_ 1 teaspoon baking_ powder
_ ¼ teaspoon salt
_ 2 over ripe bananas
• 1 ½ cups almond milk
_ ¼ cup creamy_peanut butter
• 2 tablespoons maple syrup
_ 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 375° F. In an 8x11 inch baking dish, combine the oats, cinnamon, baking powder and salt.
2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas, then add the almond milk, peanut butter, maple syrup, flaxseed and vanilla extract.�Allow the mixture to stand for 5 minutes for the flaxseed to set.
3. Pour over the wet ingredients over the oat mixture and stir to combine.
4. Bake uncovered in the preheated oven until the top of the oatmeal is golden and the mixture is set, about 30-35 minutes. Remove and allow it to cool for 5 minutes.

Here’s how to make free herbs from the ones you already have:
1. Take soft cuttings from your woody herbs
2. Place them in a container with an oya so the soil stays evenly moist
3. Put the container in partial sun
4. Refill the oya whenever it dries out
5. New roots should form in a few weeks
6. Plant them out in the garden after about a month

INGREDIENTS
▪️200g chocolate, melted
▪️4 Medjool dates
▪️2 tbsp peanut butter
▪️Handful of pumpkin seeds, pecans and pistachios (swap with whatever you have)
METHOD
▪️In a prepared loaf tin pour half of the melted chocolate and spread evenly.
▪️Slice your dates in half, and remove the pit
▪️Place them in the chocolate
▪️Spread peanut butter on top
▪️Sprinkle on your nuts and seeds
▪️Cover with the remaining chocolate
▪️Top with pistachios and freeze until set
