Hi, Jackie! Saw your note.  I graduated in 1969 so we are of a similar age.  It is almost 90 degrees Fahrenheit here today ... just awful.  There is a government program to help with getting air conditioners. I will look into it asap!  Well, I hope you are keeping cool.  Well, I don't know your region well except for making a lot of trips to Seattle, which is beautiful.  I am pretty sure the whole state is scenic ... as is my province.  Take care! I live in Washington State off of Hwy 97 that goes North to the Yakima Valley.
I attended school 8th grade through 12 grade at Goldendale, WA, where I live now.
Graduated in 1968 from the old Goldendale High School, which burnt down years later.
I was born here in Goldendale in July of 1950 in the new hospital, which is just 2 blocks North of where I live now. I grew up 60 miles East of here out on the Burn (which it is still called the Burn to this day!) I went First grade to seventh grade at the old Roosevelt School which was torn down when the John Day Dam was built on the Columbia River because it is all under water now.
My daughter also Graduated from Goldendale High School in 2000 and her oldest daughter will be a 2025 Grad!
It was hot in my house this morning 80 degrees, I have my air conditioner going. My bill is going to be out of this world next month.
I can't handle the heat like I use too when I was younger.                                                                                       

Saw your note about a fan, when you passed thru our garden.  I'm also sitting in front of a fan.   We are in a heat wave here on Vancouver Island (Don't know your location.)  It's past 11 p.m. and still too hot.
