I wish Ed would get a scooter, but getting him to use a cane is hard enough.   Has he started to pop a wheelie yet?????

Same to you and your family.  I hope weather has been decent.   We had tons of rain every other day.  But...  Temps dropped to 67 today, and windows are open in between rain.  We are emptying out our kitchen because for the first time since we lived here (45 years) .  I am excited to get my first dishwasher.   It was originally planned to start August,  but my new windows are back ordered so they will do 80% now, and finish in September.   I had saved twice before,  but our kids have crap Healthcare. Our son poisoned himself because he did not doctor and his gall bladder burst.  He had blood poisoning,  no white blood cells, jaundice, and peritonitis.   The hospital in Ohio wanted 12k immediately.   He was in college but 26 and had insurance thru Walmart.  Our daughter did the same thing soooooo out the window went my savings each time.

The little ones would love it.  My sister and I had our daughters sewing very early.  They made their holiday dresses, and both still sew.  My daughter also did ice skating, and my sister and niece made her a fancy ice-skating dress she still has and is over 40
