Yesterday's trek into the village turned out to be a three-hour ordeal which I shall not repeat in a hurry! The queue in Boots for my prescription was 456,987 million miles long with one person serving, ditto the Post Office to collect some cash, where a silly woman was sending about 466,709,876 billion packages by recorded delivery, gggrrr!! When I finally got to Mr Chan the Optician I had to wait while an old bloke was being tested on some sort of Chinese torture machine, then my exam took about 456,765,342  billion epochs!! I could hardly walk back and had to stop to rest 675,228,975,437 million times! BUT I am getting some nice specs specially for computer work (needed!) with purple frames! Phew!
