Hello Ed, you are most likely correct that the owner of the war books has passed on. Re cheese... A Deli that I like to support rather than the big supermarkets sells wonderful cheeses from France. The owner reduces the price once the use By Date has expired and I buy the cheese then. A couple of years ago he assured me that European cheeses gets better as they age. Not so for cheese made here.
Something to do with how it is processed? I have reheated my my leftover dinner and eaten it. Still yummy! I will soon be in bed with my book. Just a warning about the Miriam Margoyle memoir. She does use a lot of language that I would rather not hear or read. However, she tells things honestly in her own way. And what she has to say near the end of the book is so relevant today! Well she only wrote it a few years ago! Fairly sure I will finish it tonight. Enjoy your day!
