Morning splash-- mallard ty. It  is once again an overcast day that is dull and they are forecasting light snow this afternoon--winter has not left yet!! I of course have all the things to do that are usual but also have to have the counter tops in the kitchen bare by Fri.,dishes all done and in the cupboard as apparently the exterminators are coming in to put stuff down. We don't have bugs but I guess maybe there is some somewhere' Hope your walk was good and the fresh air has you all raring to go.

Hello Ed, like you said, the younger ones don't want to always speak to us oldies. So be patient. I hope that you manage to get Sandra out today. So important for her to be in the sunshine and get Vit D. Good for the bones. Does Sandra sit outside in the sunshine at home? I have been thinking that it it over 3 weeks since Mum was out in the sun. Difficult in hospital. Night has fallen here and the cats are now inside. I am sitting outside on the porch as I write to you listening to the surf and Cicadas. I will soon be in bed with a book. Has 'Orbital' come your way yet? It must be quite popular as it should be. Hello ED, that is great news about Not so little O. I had a lovely time at the Monday Morning Coffee Club. The whole group, 10 of us. A chap and 3 women walked past and asked if we were the Monday Morning Coffee Club. Our fame is spreading. Naturally we invited them to join us however they were on their way for a walk on the beach. I worked at the Op shop this afternoon and sure enough I found the usual HUGE Monday pile of discarded books in the bin. Naturally I rescued them. When I mentioned them to a couple of the volunteers they told me that Pam a supervisor had told them that morning that we cannot take things out of the bin. I shook my head and tapped my ears. "Sorry I seem to have a hearing problem." They laughed when I said that. That same superviser popped in after I had raided the bins and did not mention to me anything about not clearing the bins. One of the women that I had spoken to earlier listened in and later said to me, "That was a close call." I laughed, "Well, you know that I haven't been told. And seriously what can they do if I had been caught rescuing books? Sack me the one who is known by customers, staff and management as the Book Lady? Haha I think that my mother's family have given me a rebellious streak. Enjoy your day.
