Morning splash---We are at 1 degree and nothing going on out there at the moment. I have had all the staples out of the abdomen but the leg he only took out every second one and has put me on antibiotics even though I don't have an infection because the grafts have taken we don't want one. The circulation in the leg is now 100% so good news on that front. I didn't miss the broadcast of rememberence day services from Ottawa ,huge crowds for it being such a cold windy day and some of the old veterens out--it was 80th anniversary of the war ending. Off to try to do a few little things--have a good day

Hello Ed, you sure know my diary! Yes it was Art group today. I worked on water colour of my cat Mungo, however I really needed him nearby to get the colours right. I usually sit near a wonderful artist, Pauline, and once again     I was amazed by her talent. I purchased a pastel drawing of hers during the Alice In Wonderland Art show. As it was a silent auction to raise money for the Surf Life Saving Club and we hardly had anyone coming in and bidding, I only paid $30 for it. And I love it. Now trying to work out where to hang it. It has been a busy day here. The fencing has now started. Mungo curious and Mindy terrified by the noise. Now that night has fallen I will soon be in bed with a book. Enjoy your new day.

Morning splash-- I am up before it is even daylight but wanted to get a few things done before I have to go. Doubt if I will be back in time for the service but will be thinking about the day at any rate.  No more snow but it is -3 so will need my heavy coat for my outing. I am hoping the staples come out clean with no problems. Have a good day

Oh before I go. The Bugle player stood up on a balcony above the courtyard. The children were  all gathered in the court yard. And the sound of the Bugle must have been carried across he Convent area. Now I am really going to bed!

Hello Ed, dinner done and cats inside. Looks like the wooden fence will begin to go up tomorrow between my neighbours and me. The fence that I refused to pay half for but small okayed. I seriously do not understand why people want to fence themselves in whilst living in a wonderful coastal area with native trees. And it is a holiday home for them with mancured lawns etc. When I first purchased Rye it looked wild and wonderful. Now it is strarting to look like the suburbs of Melbourne. Grumpy me going to bed. Hello ED, TY for the White Mouse. Yes we do have Black Friday here. I totally ignore. Have forgotten why it has become a 'thing'. I do know that it came from the USA. Sorry that you didn't have your usual friendly chat at the Op shop. Perhaps they were having a busy / stressful day? It happens. I love chatting with the customers in our shop. One lady even joined the art group that I go to in Sorrento after our chats. I am having a quiet day at home as the next 5 days I will be out and about. I hope that Tracey considers your kind, fatherly offer. I do worry about her with her mood swings. What is her age? Wondering if she is going through menopause. That can do your head in as I well remember. One moment I would be calm and friendly and then the next moment I would become angry or tearful. And it was only dear Brian who experienced that as I couldn't / wouldn't reveal that at school. I am noiw going to sit and knit for awhile. Have a great day.
