Hello Ed, you are most likely correct that the owner of the war books has passed on. Re cheese... A Deli that I like to support rather than the big supermarkets sells wonderful cheeses from France. The owner reduces the price once the use By Date has expired and I buy the cheese then. A couple of years ago he assured me that European cheeses gets better as they age. Not so for cheese made here.
Something to do with how it is processed? I have reheated my my leftover dinner and eaten it. Still yummy! I will soon be in bed with my book. Just a warning about the Miriam Margoyle memoir. She does use a lot of language that I would rather not hear or read. However, she tells things honestly in her own way. And what she has to say near the end of the book is so relevant today! Well she only wrote it a few years ago! Fairly sure I will finish it tonight. Enjoy your day!

Hello Ed, that was brave of you eating the out of date cheese! I am happy that you enjoyed Orbital. It is a fascinating insight into the people who spend months in the satelites. We had a full turnout at the Monday Morning Coffee Club. So many interesting chats. As we have a couple from the USA in our group we spoke about the many wonderful places to go in Australia. We all had different stories to share. Then it was OP shop afternoon. Once again the back room was overflowing with weekend donations. I had 2 large boxes of books about WW2 and the Vietnam war to deal with so I arranged 2 shelves to accomondate them given that it will be ANZAC day on the 25th. Enjoy your day!

splashed-- peace dove ty. Did you ask me if a 6 shot lead was enough--obviously not as the lead now is only 11 and if people aren't on the doorstep they are ringing the beel to get in. It is very nerve wracking no matter who you want to win--Rory may come back but he seems to do this quite frquently, don't think Sheffler is close enough but another 7 shot improvement today and who knows. It really gets me on edge watching them sometimes so I either have to walk away for a bit or change channels. Should be intersting. I have put a pork roast in the slow cooker so I can shred it for pulled pork as I have some larger buns inthe freezer taking up a lot of space.I have the whole afternoon of golf but you have the whole day to wait. Have a good day

Hello Ed, TY for the Mouse and Ruby seed. I would have loved the Grandfather Clock and I did gaze at it for some time. Asking price was $500 Aus dollars. Even came home and looked around the house however realistically no room for it. Regarding the astronauts in satellites circling the earth it must at times be quite boring however I find the whole concept of them seeing many mornings and nights in one day facinating. Late this afternoon I decided to relax on my bed and read the Miriam Margoyles book. At some point I fell asleep and when I woke it was dark outside. For a brief moment I wasn't sure what time it was and then I realised I was still fully dressed and hadn't had dinner. I recall a number of years ago having that same experience. I blame it on the so called Daylight Saving that is not really needed here down south of the world. Oh and it might have something to do with me being tired. Haha! I rallied and fed the cats and cooked dinner for myself and then cleaned up. Now I am ready to get into my PJ's and go back to the book. Enjoy your day!

Good Morning Ed, TY for the mouse. I hope that you are enjoying 'Orbital'. It has been pouring down here all day. Despite that I filled up the boot of my car with children's books that I have rescued from my Op shop, DVD's and C.D's from Mum and 2 small collages of Brian's and headed to the Rotary Op Shop Warehouse in Rosebud. (10 minutes away). It is a huge warehouse that sells furniture but also collects other things for the smaller Op shop in the main street. I went in with one of my bags of DVD's and asked where do I leave donations and told him I had more in the car. The chap said, "Well we are not actually accepting donations at the moment as we are full. But hang on a moment I will check." He then consulted a lady and she looked at me and said, "We will take them as it is raining and I don't want you to get wet again unloading your car at home." I must have looked bedraggled. That was kind of her. Then the chap came out to my car and unloaded it. Another kind act. I went back into the warehouse to explore. It is impressive with lots of beautiful furniture. A large Grandfather clock caught my eye however  I didn't buy it as I would have nowehere to put it. Enjoy your new day!
